Round 2: Pre-Awakening AUs, Personas and Tarots, Lets Plan!

The city of Eddan is like a typical metropolis, your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job.
You are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods test-drive related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner! If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!
You can also request to roll for a Persona. You can find information about Persona and the Awakening here. Ask for as many test drive characters you have if you'd like!
If you want to assign your character a tarot card for test drive purposes, you're free to pick whatever you think fits best. Your character's actual Arcana will be assigned after being accepted.
Let's begin! And remember, the test drive will is Already In Progress
MOD - Request a Persona
If you're curious to see a full list of spells, you can find it here! Keep in mind that you won't be using all of the listed skills right away, if at all. When you request your persona, you do not list the spells, just what spell groups you want and we'll do the rest.

I'm thinking of making him a member of the student council AU-wise. He'll be a heir to a rich family and get driven to school, that sort of thing; but he's also hardworking and humble despite his background. He also has a pretty face so that probably entitles him to some unwanted attention in having a fanclub (oops). Like his OU self he'll push himself to the exact limit of his physical health so feel free to have your dudes know him as that one StuCo guy who never seems to sleep. He probably needs a sport too to keep up his figure so he's also up for some games once in a while.
Hit me up if you'd like to do anything!
no subject
That being said Julius PLS CHILL. Also tbh his fanclub can probably meld with the Jun's fanclub (since they'd both be in gardening club) and it would just be one slightly scary fanmass that sometimes swarms the greenhouses.... heh. What is a StuCo guy, this is a new term to me--
Also you know me, if you suddenly think of new additions you want to make to CR hit me. ☆ For the moment I figure Julius & Lenka are mostly gardening buddies and sometimes Lenka has to wonder why all his senpai are either conked out all the time or living in trees. I hope one day he waters Julius by accident.

But I mean, really, heir to a rich family that gets driven to school who constantly pushes themselves to the limits of their physical health? Hello, self-destructive senior, I would like to learn your ways!
Speaking seriously, the two probably at least know... of each other purely due to familial social circles.

I'm also not sure how it would work with different years--does each cycle have a separate council or do we get to make just a giant school council? I'd be cool with some established CR in that realm either way...I imagine there has to be SOME crossover work.

Until I write his book. He's an OC, and a tanuki. He's also a nerd.I'm of two minds on how to go with this. One is to go with his usual 'cover' of being a social guy, the kind who would sit under a tree and play Wonderwall for anyone who'd care to hear it and never ever fight someone.
... The other is to go the complete opposite direction for it and make him the King of a Command Tower team, because he's good at both showboating and is a fairly okay strategist.

Unlike Round 1, I do have some plans for his Pre-Awakening background now. Like before, he will be a teacher for Green Valley and he's a half-French living in Eddan his whole life. While he is still the nice guy just like his canon, he can be a worrywart and protective to his students and relatives due to the serial murders around the city.
Post-Awakening, he will be a Combatant and he'll try to join the other Awakening in solving the mysteries around them (and open a school club for the Awakened students).
In any case, I'm open to family and friends CR! And I'm open for any plots you have in mind with this Pokemon Professor!
EDIT: Also, my other character (which I doubt I can that) will be game!Sycamore, so let me know if you want me to bring him as well.
no subject
Pre-Awakening, I can easily see her as a young P.E. teacher, having recently graduated herself. She wouldn't be much for socializing outside of classes, or at least not speaking unless spoken to, but fiercely protective of her students. Especially now that the murders have resumed.
Once Koko Awakens, she will dive straight into the mystery left at their feet; and as a Combatant, willing to place herself on the front lines.
(Obviously none of this is 100% set in stone, but I'd love to discuss potential shenanigans with everyone.)

I 100% need mama dargon CR in my life. Maybe she can be Kyoko's PE teacher?

For her AU I was think of two different things, the first is having a mild bit of 8th grade syndrome that would mean she do strange things, like purposing she has super powers or that she is being stalked by a secret organization. Think Okabe from Stiens'gate or Rikka from Chuu2.
The other is making her a very cold and someone who practices swordplay regularly.
Tell me what you think! I'm aways open to suggestion.

His AU self, Michi Yamashita, isn't exactly one, though he does drift from hobby to hobby and through clubs in some attempt to learn literally everything. He half counts.

Assuming OCs are still bueno, I miiiiight give in to a certain Skull's peer pressure and bring in the most delicate of maidens, Aleksandr Novak. Also because gdit I demand at least ONE of our navigators be an irredeemable shitbag trying to get their party killed, so it may as well be me. Don't have an account done up for tags yet but TLDR hotlist below:
- Pretty face. Easily mistaken for a girl.
- Needs a haircut. Sleeps too much and doesn't fix it.
- MORNINGS ARE FOR BABIES. Blood type is 90% coffee.
- Broke as hell but tries really hard not to make it obvious. (It's still obvious.)
- Either in the foster system or living on his own in the AU, haven't decided yet.
- Vacillates wildly between business casual and dressing like he just got out of bed. Latter usually wins.
- Scary good at sciences and technology: but the kind of smart where you spend all night working your ass off studying. He needs that scholarship you assholes- wait what ahahaha
- TERRIBLE AT ENGLISH AND MATH. THE LITERAL WORST. kill him pls no more essays
- Gets to cut phys.ed because of health issues ayyyyyy he's a winner.
- BFF is Paimonia. The name may sound familiar.
- Mindmelded with Literally A Lovecraftian Eldritch Abomination. Came out afterward as this weird amalgamation of a Delphi oracle and Tohru Adachi's Outlook On Life.
- Everyone else was and still is highly concerned. Get better life choices.
- Took over the antichrist's job when the brat was too full of ~~~feelings~~~ to do it himself.
- Does Not Want To Die.
Pre-awakening would just be that one really quiet and polite booknerd who hides in the back of class who's way too nice for his own good. Disappears from the school for weeks on end for no visible reason. Does your homework if you offer him food.
Post-awakening is pretending to be the really quiet and polite booknerd, but is actually a fucking monster who cares about no one but himself and what he wants accomplished. And if that means genocide on a multiverse-scale, then so be it. To make it worse, he's long-since weaponized his personality to drive someone up a wall as quickly as possible. #rip everyone's patience. Depending on how annoyed he is at anyone, may actively try to get them killed by Shadows. Doesn't do it if you offer him food.
At either awakening state he is really bad at managing stress, which leads to the worst life choices imaginable. Such as becoming the temporary antichrist. Or slamming your existence against Yog-sothoth because you got too mad about something. Or taking English AP. So with the app's constant stalking he's gonna end up smashing a monitor and then have a meltdown over how much it costs at some nebulous point. Everyone find joy at his expense. He deserves it.

Speaking of, this is Takeshi Yamamoto from the anime Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Essentially it's a crazy shonen anime that has elements of the mafia. If you think that means this anime is SUPER dramatic and serious - you would be wrong. Mostly.
I don't have any set AU ideas in mind for him, but he might end up being the younger brother to a particular Persona character that my friend will be apping to the game! That and chances are he'll still be stupidly obsessive over playing baseball, tend to fall asleep in class, will generally try to be friends with everyone and overall be a normal fourteen year old kid.
As for his name, I'm considering Angelo Genovese. Two names from people in the NY Mafia - his first taken from someone who was generally a docile mafia boss, while the second is the name of the strongest and oldest mafia family in NY (so, you know, fitting). His persona will still be Glasya-Labolas, though, because I like the idea of him having such a frightening sounding persona that basically looks like a winged puppy with a sword.
And surprise, surprise, he'll be a Combatant.

For the most part, I've been imagining Pre-Awakening Shirou as a happy and well-adjusted youth of 14 who attends Green Valley. Very popular among his peers, especially the girls, Shirou both achieves excellent grades and is a celebrated member of the school's track and field team, specializing in the sprinting and high jump events. Interestingly, the moments he claims to love the most aren't clearing the finish line or the bar, but the mad dash towards the goal when running, and the fall that follows jumping, when he feels the wind briefly wrap around him and the rest of the world seems to disappear.
Despite being very kind and easy to get along with, Shirou also has a playful side. Given his academic and athletic prowess, there are many rumors floating around about him, most of which are inaccurate and portray him as being much larger than he is. Shirou takes great pleasure in playing with these misconceptions and fooling people. Playing other kinds of pranks on people is another thing he enjoys, though even if they're the kinds of pranks that scare someone, he's always careful not to be cruel.
He seems like he has his life together and, despite the grisly murders occurring in Eddan, seems to be fearless and like he hasn't a care in the world other than having fun.
I have no concrete plans regarding his family (and would love to plot with people regarding that!) but I will note that I'd prefer familial relations to be positive in nature to directly contrast what he'll remember upon Awakening.
Speaking of...
Awakened Shirou is...quite literally a mixed bag. For all that their personality remains something they have in common, he's nowhere near being as well-adjusted and stable as his AU.
For starters, when Shirou was still very young, his entire family was killed in an avalanche. His father, his mother, and his twin brother all died, and he was the only one among them who survived, leaving him with a phobia of any loud noises resembling the deep, thunderous rumble of snow crashing down a mountainside.
Wearing his brother's scarf in his memory, eventually Shirou began to "hear" Atsuya's voice coming from it while playing soccer. This, along with his father's last words the day he died, impressed upon Shirou a desire to be "perfect" and he believed that the only way to accomplish this was to become one with, or surrender himself to his brother, letting Atsuya take over while playing.
As "Atsuya," Shirou is nothing like his more subdued self. He is extremely aggressive, brash, a bit of a show pony and, despite being very capable, he'll charge headlong into a situation without thinking, demonstrating an absurd amount of arrogance and over-confidence. His primary objectives are winning and being entertained, and he'll do whatever it takes to achieve both, except tolerate people standing in his way.
Needless to say, he is a very sore loser. And Shirou himself isn't much better, for he has struggled since the day he lost his parents with his identity and where he belongs. He wants to be needed. But so does "Atsuya." Essentially, while warring with shadows, he'll also be warring with himself...so that'll be a thing.
Regarding his Persona, I've decided to run with Marchosias for him, and Shirou himself will be a Combatant.
Anyway...
TL;DR: I've got a nice (if trollish) kid here with a split personality disorder and I'm looking to see who he might know around the city and school! And for potential family!

Personality wise, Mukuro is vain, charismatic, a showboat, and the kind of guy who can't answer a question in a straightforward manner. He may have some redeeming qualities like actually caring about people, being intelligent, and always having a plan, but try to get him to admit to the first one. I'm anticipating he'll have a lot of negative CR because he is a catty troublemaker who likes to start shit just to see how far he can go, so please feel free to hit me up if that's your cup of tea.
AU wise, Mukuro has been a citizen of Eddan his whole life, consistently gets high grades, may or may not pick up Command Tower if there aren't too many Kings swanning around. I'm also thinking of sticking him in a drama club or perhaps student council.
And possibly having him be shady as all hell like getting contraband things or whatever would be permittable by the mods.I'd love family + friends + enemy CR so toss them all at me!
no subject
Let's see, I play a quiet semi-lineface shounen protag so clearly the CR is going to be bizarre and entertaining. What school year are you putting Mukuro in! I forgot how old he is/depending on his canonpoint/etc. ages are hard, but Lenka here is in 1st year of senior cycle (15). I highly encourage student counciling Mukuro by the way because the student council definitely needs more members! Also currently it has too many goody-goodies and needs livening up. ☆
Oh, also, Lenka here lives in an apartment building with a few other characters so if Persona/KHR disaster fam wants to move in please feel free. :D :DD Best neighbors.

He's a good kid but a liiiiil' power hungry due to being picked on and bullied a lot, so giving him a Persona will be uh....... interesting LAUGHS I described it to my friend as "giving a kid a chainsaw" so yeah. And honestly god help them if he learns who the Phantom Thieves are aside from Akira. He's going to be That Teammate who does shit just to try to look cool and completely overcompensates and underestimates things and he's a hot mess please don't look at him...
As for school he'll be a student just like in canon, maybe at the head of the

He's going to be a student, that much is certain. Yes, I'm playing the TYE version
ignore my icons. He's a little less of a douchebag in that era, so it makes it easier. He'll probably be in a club or two, get high grades despite being a space case, and in general be an insufferable prick when his head's not in the clouds.Personality... Shitlord of shit mountain in the land of garbage dumps a good summary? He's not as bad as he once was (going to be, TIME TRAVEL BULLSHIT), but your average rabid baboon is nicer than his marshmallow-orchid ass was. He doesn't do nice things for other people without expecting something in return or having an ulterior motive unless the fate of the world is on the line. Which might count as an ulterior motive; he lives there. Sometimes his motive is simple, though. Like shits and giggles or to prove he's not totally evil. Doesn't mean he won't cheat at rock-paper-scissors and semi-gleefully attempt to kill things, though. That's canon.
Oh, and he's psychic and near omniscient in canon. It's a mess.

Currently we have a good handful of members (including Chikusa and I think Yamamoto might gatecrash sometimes, plus a few other accidental friends that drop by), a complex of greenhouses on the Green Valley campus (I assume he goes to GV, what cycle will he be in!), probably some kind of butterfly house annnnd that's most of what we got so far. (We have a flowerfest mingle here, and the prompts are totes open to be used on the TDM because why the hell not. 8))
I SHOULD probably also introduce me and my character, hi I'm Fyre, we've run into each other here and there in James' plurk and I play Lenka here, who's basically your garden (heh) variety quiet-style shounen protag. He's 1st year of senior cycle at GV and an officer in the gardening club, which mostly means he's saddled with all the paperwork. |D

The last game I had Angel in was also an AU, so there are elements that I might draw from that version of her for the AU here, if they end up working.
Angel is a bit of a complicated character, in the series you only meet/see her in person once, while the rest of the time she stays in touch with the PC through a communicator system, posing as a helpful AI until her reveal as a human girl (though still one with incredible magic-like powers). She is also a prisoner of her father Jack, trapped in a high security underground facility where her powers are exploited for his gain until she convinces the PC to help her commit suicide by cutting off the drug(kinda) supply keeping her alive.
So, major things I would like to work on/around:
i. Her ambiguity. I was thinking something along the lines of her being a sickly shut-in, who communicates mostly through the network and other forum or chat type platforms, and isn't seen in person till she awakens.
ii. Her close relationship with her father. because Angel's narrative is so closely tied to Jack's, I want to make sure there is some breathing room for any possible future Jack player. It would be some great tragedy material for her to have a happy family life in the AU only to remember the awful truth upon awakening, but don't want to complicate or force a narrative for a potential Jack.
iii. Her dependence on eridium (kinda-drug mentioned in her breakdown.) In canon she's force-fed this alien material to increase her powers, and it has been so long that she can no longer survive without it. If possible I'd like to mimic this somehow in game.
The things I know for certain are that I'd like her to be a navigator type, since that's what she is in her canon (she's basically the navi of borderlands) that she will be around 18 yrs and that I will be taking her from post-death.
Planning AUs is always really fun, thanks in advance for any suggestions!

HERE ARE SOME CANON ROYCE THINGS:
HERE ARE A COUPLE AU ROYCE THINGS:
Oh god this is so much. His TDM thread can be found here, at any rate! Obligatory mentions that I'm super excited about the premise and would do unspeakable things in the name of enabling castmates. Wow it sure is 3am I'm gonna go to bed
no subject
Maybe he could teach a few classes (in architecture? in math?) as an adjunct? Schools often bring in people from the industry, and that way it would give him a little bit of a network to tap into (I don't think we have many professionals in Eddan atm).
no subject
Anyways, in quick summary: Zero is a vampire hunter who was turned into a vampire with an uncontrollable bloodlust. His backstory is a tragedy that left him an orphan with every reason to hate vampires. It's also the reason why he's so blunt and hard to get along with, yet he's a total pushover when it comes to kids, animals, and sick people. He embodies the classical characteristics of the sacrificial knight but don't expect him to be nice. He's a blunt character that tends to keep to himself. He does better with individuals than he does with a group but he's far enough in canon to get along with others, even if he doesn't necessarily befriend them.
AU Zero. I don't really know what I'll be doing with him - feeling my way through this - but I'm thinking of making him an exchange student. He'll have recently arrived to live with an old family friend after becoming an orphan after his parents die in a plane crash. He'll have a sizeable inheritance to keep people from worrying about him. School-wise, he'll have top grades with his best courses being math and science (canon). He's not a social guy so most people would only know him by seeing him 'around'. Aside from that... I don't really know.
I've got no idea about his Persona. Even after reading the faq I'm still not sure if I understand what a Persona is orz. But then, that's why I'm here!
no subject
How old are you bringing Zero in as, exactly, beyond "student"?
As for the persona thing... It's complicated, but basically they're expressions of the inner self. As far as I can tell, the initial persona, demons, are expressions of darker urges, while proper persona are more of a defense mechanism.

As for her AU, I'm thinking she's probably studying art, since her childhood drawings were a big plot point in the series. Maybe also interested in journalism, since she did temp work with a news site for an episode and she was really good at it? And without all the crap she went through in her childhood, she'd be pretty social.
Family-wise, if she had any siblings, she'd still feel really attached to them, since she was so attached to her brother in canon. And I'd really want her to have a close relationship with her parents, since she definitely did not in canon.
Oh, and I'm thinking her Persona will be Amon because she would rather settle disputes than engage in fights, but she wants to heal and protect people too. She doesn't like it when people try to protect her, so she'd be trying to help them in turn.
no subject
However, his family DOES operate a cafe. If she would frequent a place like that or maybe have art to hang on the walls there that might be a place to start.
