Round 3: Test Drive

Welcome to the third test drive!
Please don't worry too much about using your Personas correctly or following the prompts exactly. They're meant to give you starting ideas, but by all means, go wild and add more options!
The objective here is to try out characters and see who you could have the most fun with in the game's setting. However, feel free to follow this link to request a Persona be generated for you as if you were part of the game. (Please try to limit this to only one of your test drive characters if you can as to not overwhelm us!)
If you have questions about the test drive itself, you can ask them here! If you want to play an AU don't forget this entire post can be used for you to get AU scenarios set up and see who your character might have been related too or know before Awakening.
Now then, let's begin...

Prompt 1 - The National Leviathan Habitat
Eddan's shimmering sapphire of an aquarium, the National Leviathan Habitat, is holding a series of special events at its location in Royal Mount. Students and family groups get half off, with certain events being completely free. This include a full night's stay at the aquarium sometime during the week for any person who checks in with their card. While spots are limited, it's such a large aquarium, and nights can be booked in advance, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. So come, everyone! Enjoy whale spotting, aquarium strolling, educational shows, and a night surrounded by water. However, unknown to you, something else might be starting to beat in the deepest, darkest depths of your heart.
Similar to the flower festival that was used in the prior TDM, Unawakened characters can get a flash of memory sometime during this prompt and Awakened characters will be able to occasionally pick them out. For more information on the National Leviathan Habitat, which is a player introduced location, please check here.
Additionally, if both test drive player and game players agree, the aquarium test drive threads can also become game canon! As long as the test drive character is played as being completely unaware of what has happened in the game up to this point. Keep in mind that they would NOT have had a message on their phones. Two Test drive players can also make these game canon if they get accepted (and they keep the same requirements as above).

Prompt 2 - From Dawn to Dusk
The city has been abuzz for the past few weeks. A new string of murders is making front page news and serving as a grim reminder why the nightly curfew is so important. As families, perhaps even someone close to you, mourn, pressure continues to rise at the many police stations and at city hall. The people are afraid and they’re demanding answers.
There's not much time for you to dwell on this.. Like everyone else in the city, you have a lot to do, and a tight schedule to do it in, even on summer vacation. (Or maybe because of summer vacation for the local schools.) You don't even notice the application that has appeared on your phone's screen. The headache that follows, however, is strange and disorienting, and it brings with it an odd sensation that something is wrong today. You’re just not sure why.
The day passes by and soon, it's close to midnight. Your body, if you're not in bed by now, is completely exhausted. Despite your best efforts, you'll find yourself closing your eyes. Too bad it's quickly interrupted by a strange noise, and movement like something pulsating softly.
It's your phone, or at least you think it's your phone, but it's never glowed this orange before. There’s mist rising above it almost like fire...something's definitely bizarre about this. Despite your fears, you forces yourself to open it, and click on that strange snake-like icon.

It opens revealing a single statement and blank box;
Your fingers move on their own. Before you have time to really think about it, and as the pain inside your head becomes so terrible you start breathing rapidly and sweating, you've entered a series of letters and pressed enter. Now you're in a large chatroom with many others...but your 'name' you've never even heard of it...have you? It almost feels like you have...

Prompt 3 - Awakening
The last rays of the sun disappeared over the horizon almost an hour ago, yet here you are, walking through the apple orchards located behind one of the campus wings. The strange app that's been sending you strange clues the past seven days now says you're ready to face the truth. It told you to come here tonight, but never to travel alone. Repeatedly, it warns you to make sure to have someone close by if you're to survive…but besides some friends, what else did you bring with you? Did you pack for this, or did you figure you'd make it up as you go? Are you in a position to be able to bring weapons with you that no one would suspect?
Something is out there, and it's getting closer.
Before you can think, you see it: a large, blackish mass, almost like slime, slithering along the ground resembling a vaguely humanoid shape with glowing yellow eyes. When it roars again, it reveals rows and rows of teeth. This was a mistake your brain warns. The strange name from the chatroom, the days leading up to this...you're fairly certain even if you are prepared that you're going to die.
And yet, something inside you stirs. Even as they move closer, you find yourself charging instead of running, as your heartbeat increases. A voice inside is guiding you, each movement bringing forth a surge of memories of a past that you had lost. You’re angry and confused, but your pain, your fears, your rage for all of this… all of that needs to be taken out on those creatures.
All you need to do now is to tear out your heart.

Prompt 4 - A new, old life
Now that you have your memories back, the strange veil of this world has been somewhat lifted. Things that seemed simple now seem strange. You have so many questions, but not enough answers. Then there's the new weapons you wield and the strange creature inside of you...your Heart Persona.
During the day, you are encouraged to continue to live as you did before, but with old and new memories together, sometimes it is difficult to keep acting like you did. Will it cause issues in your job or school life? Will it change your reactions to whatever life you had here? Do you notice others like you who have awakened?
Maybe it would be a good time to send a chatroom message, just to ask others what they are planning to do. Maybe you should set up a meeting to fight shadows at night. Maybe you’ll organize a plan of attack or set up a club to escape the strange looks others have been giving you. Maybe you just want someone's opinion on the best place to have pizza. Hey, no one said you had to use the AppleNET just for serious things, after all.

Tsunayoshi Sawada
The boy blinks awake again when his phone buzzes. "Thought I turned that off…" He groans at the massive throbbing headache and it's been going all day long. He rolls over and stares at the orange screen. His brain isn't functioning on all cylinders though and he squints trying to focus. There's a weird orange circle-thing on it and then it's prompting him for something.
His head pounds harder and he winces even while his fingers move to type Sawada Tsunayoshi into the app. And the pain gets worse, gasping for breath, Tsuna feels sweat drip down his temple and holds the phone to his head for a second while his other hand presses from the other side like he can hold his brain inside through sheer force of will.
When he pulls it away he takes a second to clear his vision and frowns at the screen. Who is Sawada? Wait that's him? He should go get a tylenol but the thought of trying to lift his head from the pillow just makes it ache more. Instead he types.
SawadaTsuna: What is this place?
Prompt 3
Tsuna had not planned ahead. He didn't even really want to be here which really was the story of his real life wasn't it? He'd come with someone but he wasn't ready for this at all. He could almost feel the mass before he could see it and all he wanted to do once he saw it was get the heck gone. What is it?! It's horrible! He doesn't have any good weapons, he'd brought a baseball bat he'd borrowed from a family member but seriously? A bat against that monstrosity?! What was he thinking. A horrified noise was slipping out of him somewhere between a whine and a shriek.
And still here he was like an IDIOT running toward it. Why was he doing that? He grabs for his chest when it feels like something is moving inside. It would be just his luck to have a heart attack while a monster bears down on him. Though no one could blame him, surely. He nearly stops when he hears the voice, his hand clutching at his chest and then through his chest. And it hurts! It hurts a lot and he can't run anymore because his fingers close around what feels like his heart and he tears it free from his chest and screams, eyes going wide and body dropping to the ground. This hurts a lot more than a bullet. A LOT more. He can feel his heart stop. His eyes glaze over and he stops breathing, stops feeling the pounding of that creature coming toward him. Everything but the pain stops and that pain feels endless. It feels like it lasts for hours. And then he can feel slow thumping and he's pretty sure that has to be the creature walking so close he can feel it, walking faster now. He can't tell it's his own heart starting back up even if the pain is somehow receding.

Now, standing here frozen in the face of something dark and monstrous- Black Tezcatlipoca her mind whispers, a glitch in her memories like so many before- she's not so sure. Before she can do anything, whether grab the boy and run or reach for her bag, he's running off ahead, and Katherine gives a small cry. Her own heart is pounding pounding pounding, like it'll just burst straight out of her chest, but she tries to ignore it. All she focuses on is suddenly lunging forward as well, grabbing for his shoulder as he stumbles.
"C'mon now, gittup!" As the monster stalks closer, she leans down, trying to get the boy's arm around her shoulder.

"I'm back now, let's take care of it."
And then a little spit of fire blips out of his glove and shoots out at the mass.
It's such a tiny little spit of fire it's almost comical. And he darts to the side to avoid the oncoming mass and let his teammate help out as well.
no subject
Katherine doesn't doesn't yell again, not when the boy is suddenly blazing and the monster is lashing out. All she does is grit her teeth and dart to the side. Deep in her chest, her heartbeat is in her ears now, and she can barely hear anything else. When she reaches up, it's initially just to calm it, but then her fingers are digging past cloth, past flesh, and there's a medical monitor almost screaming in her ears...
She doesn't quite realize when she's torn out her heart, only that everything almost makes sense- not the monster, not this fake life, no, but she's her proper form now and that's better than nothing. A poor mess of a horned snake is out of her shadow now, and she's holding a.... fiddle, apparently.
Well. She lives with Huey. It won't be the strangest thing.
"Keep going on the other side!" she calls to him, even as she hurries her own self. This thing can't keep track of two, at least she hopes it doesn't.

She's also not quite as combat inclined. That sort of thing she had often left up to Paual, or Calamity. Still, she's not wearing a dress, which helps, and the bow is still strangely sharp enough to do some damage as she darts in to slash it across the creature. It screeches again, turning back to her and away from Tsuna. Immediately, she tries to retreat, doing her best to keep her tail out of the way. "Well, it's well and busy now!"
no subject
"Are you ok?"
no subject
At least they're working on it. A slash towards the leg has it stumble, wobbling and uncertain, and she's relieved. It's progress, so she'll take it.
no subject
He sends another attack at the achille's heel and darts back and away from the creature. They don't know each other well enough to work in time like he might be able to do with Yamamoto or Gokudera but they're managing pretty well all things considered.

So if his greeting was less than a little friendly, well. Who could blame him?
Mukuro Rokudo: Welcome to hell, Sawada Tsunayoshi.
no subject
SawadaTsuna: Haha that's funny, to hell? Is that what this chatroom is called? I think there's something wrong with the resolution it's giving me a really bad headache. Or making mine worse.
no subject
Was he enjoying this? Maybe a little bit. It was nice to have ( some ) of the answers again instead of being lead around by the nose and clueless.
no subject
Man his head was just pounding. At least someone is enjoying themselves.
SawadaTsuna: Why won't it turn off?!
no subject
Mukuro... Why are you like this...
no subject
Sawada Tsuna: Near me? I'm in bed no one is near me!
no subject
And why not show it to others later to see if they know anything?
Tsuna... Do not do this. Just block him and leave.
no subject
SawadaTsuna: But you're on it, don't you know? Isn't it better to talk to the people I know use it?
Tsuna does actually think you're trying to be helpful Mukuro. Poor kid.
SawadaTsuna: are you saying a lot of people play in this chat? You would think I'd have heard of it by now.

2! <3
Takeshi Yamamoto: \(^ヮ^)/ Yo, Tsuna!
Takeshi Yamamoto: Is that really you?
Takeshi Yamamoto: Ah, wait, you wouldn't know. Um.
Oh no. This is going to be harder than he thought.
Takeshi Yamamoto: This is a chatroom!
Takeshi Yamamoto: Where people like us can talk and stuff.
<3
SawadaTsuna: Ah... hello?
SawadaTsuna: Like us? What does that mean? What kind of stuff do we talk about?
SawadaTsuna: Do you think they chose these colors just to make our heads ache?
a million years later
Takeshi Yamamoto: Sorry, Tsuna. (⇀‸↼‶)
Takeshi Yamamoto: But just know you can trust me!
Takeshi Yamamoto: And I'll try to help you as much as I can!
Takeshi Yamamoto: Okay?
Then a brief pause on his end, trying to figure out what his friend meant before it clicks.
Takeshi Yamamoto: The app is pretty brightly colored, isn't it? Lol.
Takeshi Yamamoto: But don't worry. The headache will go away after awhile.
Re: a million years later
Tsuna stares at the screen trying to process how that is even a thing then gives up.
SawadaTsuna: Ah... ok? Thanks?
Questions, more than agreement because what is even going on?
SawadaTsuna: I've had it all day and even asprin doesn't help. It makes it hard to read anything on here. Also to sleep. It makes it hard to sleep. And I'm exhausted.
no subject
Takeshi Yamamoto: But don't worry!
Takeshi Yamamoto: I'll explain as much as I can.
When the app isn't redacting information, though he's more concerned about making sure his friend is okay first.
Takeshi Yamamoto: And yeah, I had one too.
Takeshi Yamamoto: It's was like thum thum and everything!
Takeshi Yamamoto: It happens to everyone who uses the app, but um.
Takeshi Yamamoto: Maybe try drinking water??
Takeshi Yamamoto: I don't know if it'll help, but it could!
no subject
SawadaTsuna: Thank you.
SawadaTsuna: Is that your heartbeat? Because I think I can feel it too. Ugh it's terrible.
Getting water involves getting up but somehow Tsuna will manage.
SawadaTsuna: K BRB
After about three minutes he's typing again.
SawadaTsuna: No changes yet. What can you tell me?
no subject
Takeshi Yamamoto: That's part of it! ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ Haha.
The heartbeat anyway. Which is vague and doesn't really answer anything, but... welp, that'll be something Tsuna's gonna figure out soon. Hopefully. He'll wait patiently for Tsuna to return, though. Legs crossed over his bed, and staring down at the screen while he tried to figure out the best way to really interact with his friend.
In all honesty, though, he'd much rather go find him than sit here.
Takeshi Yamamoto: wb!
Takeshi Yamamoto: And not much right now.
Takeshi Yamamoto: The app's not bad, though!
Takeshi Yamamoto: At least, all of us are pretty sure it's not.
Takeshi Yamamoto: There's also a lot of people that use it. Some that are like you!
Takeshi Yamamoto: And then there's people like me. Who were like you once, but not anymore.
no subject
SawadaTsuna: ty
SawadaTsuna: ...
SawadaTsuna: It gives you head-splitting migraines but isn't bad?
SawadaTsuna: Like me how?
Now he's pretty sure someone is trolling him.. Like him once but not anymore. What the heck did that mean anyway? He puts his head down for a second, closing his eyes and willing the pain to go away. And per his luck, of course it doesn't. Feels like he's at the bottom of a swimming pool with all the water pressing in on all sides. Finally lifting his head back up he types again.
SawadaTsuna: Are things supposed to make sense here?
