Round 3: Pre-Awakening AUs, Personas and Tarots, Lets Plan!

We've made this post for a very quick round of pre-drive planning. Post the characters that you are interesting in trying out and ask for advice or suggest, or even try to look/entice for castmates! Suggest pre-made AUs where someone from cross canon has been living with you for a while, so when you begin the test proper tomorrow you'll have an idea of what you want to do!

The city of Eddan is like a typical metropolis, your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job.

You are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods/players test-drive related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner! If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

You can also request to roll for a Persona. You can find information about Persona and the Awakening here.

If you want to assign your character a tarot card for test drive purposes, you're free to pick whatever you think fits best. Your character's actual Arcana will be assigned after being accepted.

To request a persona, fill out the form below and reply to this post. Remember try to limit it to only one of your test personas. We will try to roll them for you as soon as we can!

If you're curious to see a full list of spells, you can find it here! Keep in mind that you won't be using all of the listed skills right away, if at all. When you request your persona, you do not list the spells, just what spell groups you want and we'll do the rest.

Passive: (Take a look at the Persona information page if needed or for a refresher. These are passive skills that the Awakened have active whenever they use their Personas to aid them. Each user only gets one choice from the following: Offensive, Defensive, Dual)

... So here's one.

This Ken Amada (from Persona 3) is an AU, where he joined Strega instead of SEES though Strega is... a bit different. He is still 11, though.

AU setup is with Guts('s AU) as his estranged dad, and he was finally found and sent to live with him in Eddan rather than live off the street. So he'll be a fairly new transfer to Eddan, still getting used to the city. Classmates/'friends'/rivals/etc. are super welcome, and he'll likely be on the ~~sakka~~ soccer team at some point either before or after Awakening.

Come at me, bros.

Edit: His AU name is Riki because the kanji match up nicely, okay. Last name tbd, probably not Guts' last name because otherwise he probably would have been found earlier.

Hello! I am Meowkitty, potentially joining this game with Vermouth from Detective Conan - that show where a high school detective shrinks into a tiny kiddo and then solves far too many murder mysteries.

Vermouth is a member of the secret criminal organization that's responsible for Conan's sorry situation. Like most members, she can be a ruthless killer and sly undercover agent. However, she does not hold the same loyalty to the group, preferring to work for her own interests. As a result, Vermouth is the only ally Conan has within the organization who isn't a double agent.

When she isn't engaged in dubious criminal activity, Vermouth works as a famous actress under the name Chris Vineyard. She can be remarkably playful, teasing and pranking her fellow partners-in-crime despite the danger. Most of all, Vermouth prides herself in being mysterious. She prefers to keep people guessing.

For the AU, I think she'll be Ran Mouri's distant aunt. She will either work as a drama teacher or school nurse (like she did when undercover at Conan's elementary school).

GUESS WHO'S BACK, BACK AGAIN- Okay yeah, now that life isn't kicking me in the face, hi again! It's Twi (

twilitfall), attempting a third time to poke at this game. Again, with a player character from Final Fantasy XIV who looks a little demonic herself. Her name is Koko of the Himaa tribe of Xaela - a clan of the half-demon playable race, Au Ra. She's a young mother out of wedlock and widowed, turned hero back home. Needless to say, it's something that's undoubtedly going to eat at her once she awakens.

Pre-Awakening, I can easily see her as a young P.E. teacher, having graduated herself a few years prior from the college equivalent. She wouldn't be much for socializing outside of classes, or at least not speaking unless spoken to, but fiercely protective of her students. Especially now that the murders have resumed.

I'm up for any sort of previous AU CR building if anyone wants/is interested. Obviously none of this is 100% set in stone, but I'd love to discuss potential shenanigans with everyone.

Hey, all! I'm Wind, and I'm going to drop Kamui on the test drive as soon as I finish this.

Gintama is that fun, fourth-walling gag/shounen manga where aliens came to Japan way back when, took over the government, and have been using the Earth as a vacation planet ever since. Because. In fact, Kamui himself is an alien. A shameless, selfish, all-around-jerk of an alien space pirate whose hobbies include fighting to the death and making fun of his subordinates. About as chaotic neutral as anyone can get. Even when he finally ends up fighting alongside the protags, he still has to throw in a joke equating everyone who wants a rematch with him to pure virgins upset that he stole their first time.

I want his AU self to be very different! He'll still probably be a delinquent-type character, but without his canon history, he has no reason to seek out fights with everyone everywhere. I'm leaning toward eighteen year old delinquent-with-a-heart-of-gold named Reid who dropped out of school a year or two ago in order to support his family. Potentially working as a bouncer or security guard.

Open to pretty much any AU CR. Old school friends, fellow delinquent rule-breakers, family members, rivals, business owners who need security, what-have-you. Lay it on me.

This will be the second time that Kurama will find himself reborn as a human...

Originally a fox demon from the Makai, grave injury forced Kurama to flee to the human world and seek refuge within the womb of a pregnant woman who later birthed his soul into a human body. Although he was named Shuichi Minamino by his new mother, Kurama retained all his memories of his former life, as well as his desire to return to the demon world. So he waited, biding his time until he would be strong enough to leave the Ningenkai behind, but he did not anticipate the strength of his mother's love for him, or her selflessness. Saving him from falling atop broken glass at the cost of permanent scarring to both of her hands and wrists, Shiori endeared herself to Kurama...and planted the seed of human empathy within his heart.

Kurama is very calm and analytical, unfalteringly loyal to those who have earned his trust, and despite an ability to make split second and very ruthless decisions, he possesses a very kind heart. While he's by no means someone whose wrath you'd want to evoke, he's more commonly known to take the piss out of others by exercising his shrewd wit.

His AU will be going by the name Kit Florentine (he'll have endured ceaseless jokes about that growing up) and as a 16 year old, he will be attending Green Valley as a Senior Cycle, First Year.

I've been toying with the idea of having his AU personality be a little more like that of his demon self prior to being reborn as a human, so while he won't be incapable of kindness, he'll be considerably more cutthroat (albeit good at hiding it) and will have spent some time as a preteen in a juvenile detention center. He's 'reformed' now, of course. Working part-time in one of Eddan's botanical gardens. Certainly not suspicious, and totally not to blame for anything that's gone missing. (But, hypothetically speaking, if anything has gone missing and he did take it, it's probably something that was already stolen from somebody else, something he may have agreed to get back for the original owner. For a small fee. Hypothetically.)

I haven't decided yet if he'll live on campus or anyplace else, so I've left that open in case anybody wants to plan family or friend/dorm shenanigans!

Hey guys, Annie/Guts mun here to finally bring a child here instead of a dad.

Conner Gordon Knightly, is the 12 year old sibling of Jun/Lohan in this AU and in their final primary cycle of Green Apple. Conner is sweet, slightly overemotional, and a hellish mix of gullible and anxious. They are extremely easy to mess with, easy to upset, but even quicker to forgive those that hurt them. Overall, they're are a pretty bright kid. A pretty bright kid who is failing pretty much every class due to some overwhelming anxiety issues that are only going to get worse after awakening.

They spend pretty much all of their time in the library studying, unless somebody has managed to drag their doormat personality into a club. Looking for friends and ppl willing to adopt once this child undergoes 100 degrees of truma upon awakening.

Hello hello! I as interested in dropping Miu here from the survival horror game Fatal Frame V: Maiden of Black Water! In canon she's a cold and calculating actress/gravure model capable of changing her personality depending on who she's talking to.

She has the ability to read emotions and minds and uses it liberally to figure out how to best get what she wants from people, but in general she doesn't care about them. She believes "everyone lies" and therefore no one is ever truly sincere or without ulterior motives. She herself states, "I'm empty, therefore I can become anything."

Honestly I'm not sure about changing her name or just making her keep her old one bc. well. why not it's not exactly a weird name and I'm terrible with names. But in general her backstory will also remain largely the same-- Mother abandoned her when she was young (in this one it's as a baby instead of when she was 2 or 3) and she was happily adopted (as opposed to unhappily being aware her adopted family took her in out of pity). Generally happy and bright and, well, normal. No seeing ghosts or reading minds here.

I imagine she grew up fairly popular and well-liked, since she's not the sad, gloom-and-doom creepy child she used to be. I imagine she's about 17/18 and about to go into college?? IDK...

If anyone wants to be an adopted family member, potential dorm buddies, etc etc. FLAPS HANDS I DON'T KNOW I'M BAD AT AUs SEND HELP.

Hi all, I'm Loki, totally new applicant hopefully bringing in Apollo from an obscure little manga called Olympos.

In canon, Apollo is the god of the sun. Specifically, the kind of god you don't want answering your prayers, because he will find some way to make it go very, very wrong. Like, “people dead and cities toppled” wrong. He is the biggest baby on Earth and gets offended when people call him the wrong name or depict him incorrectly, while smugly saying how above it all he is five minutes later. Basically, he is a super tryhard whose ego is incredibly fragile, but hey, at least he has fire magic to get him through.

He is also socially awkward and has no friends, because he can't seem to act like a normal person for more than five minutes. Being immortal and watching everyone you start to like die off and other immortals encouraging bad behavior = never learning how to manage emotions, I guess.

His AU name is Paul Lowe because I think I am funny, and I am not sorry. The rough outline I have so far is that he's a high school student who recently moved to the city from his parents place out somewhere rural, where he was homeschooled and probably lives on campus. His family is well off enough that he has all the right things to be popular on paper, except for not being a jerk. He is basically trying to be a male Heather Chandler but isn't confident enough to pull it off. He is actually really loyal to the people he limes once he knows them, so if you need your own fire-throwing guard dog, he is available. :')

While he is less dangerous/murderous than his original self, he is still extremely punchable and bratty. If any of your characters would have some kind of bad blood with Apollo while he was settling into Eddan, I am completely down for that. Please feel free to have your characters shove him into mall water fountains. This kid needs some real social experience, so new friends/enemies/acquaintances/family/etc. CR is welcome!

Yo this is Re here and I'm trying out two different characters to see which one clicks or generates enough interest. ~~because Ixtlilton hit me like a brick from nowhere when I was not expecting it.~~

First up is Ailane from Show by Rock (This journal here) which is a music anime made by Sanrio of Hello Kitty fame. So tl'dr it's Furry Magical Idol anime. She's a lion type myumon (aka what these animal types are on their special planet) who has a bit of a complex regarding her older brother and spent most of her screentime manipulated/brainwashed in being one of the main villains for the second season due to a lot of emotional trauma due to her family being Important and a bit hung up on making their children be Perfect.

For her AU she's going to go by Aliana Fresia and is going to be that little rich kid that acts very ice queen like because of family expectations but really is just an awkward child that really just wants a friend but doesn't know how to have them because her parents expect her to make business partners and not friends with other rich and influential children. She's a bit of a klutz if she's not paying attention and on the level of a wilting flower athletic and fighting wise. Hence why she'd be a Navigator. She's also sixteen despite the fact she barely can see over table tops. (She will glare at you if you make fun of the fact she's only 4'6 and it will be about as threatening as a wet kitten.)

Secondly is Ixtlilton from the web series No Evil. He's one of three monkey spirits of healing who gave up his sight in order to help contain a black ick that sorta covering the world and making everyone go into an eternal sleep. Sadly he sorta got off screened iced early on so he's mostly hanging out in a black crystal made from said black ick and may or may not be saveable at this time in the canon. From what is infer in the comic that he, his siblings, and another character were the main focus in he is the quiet sibling that also seems to be the one that just gets things done and sorta takes a background role compared to his brother and sister who are more outgoing and talkative then him. Which is okay he's happy to be there for them and help out where he can.

For his AU I'm borrowing a lot from the fact he is loosely based off the Aztec god of medicine and healing and in canon being a spirit of children and good fortune by making him a school nurse aide (or whatever you would call someone that helps out in the infirmary at the school but isn't the nurse themselves) by the name of Ixidorr (yes that is a real name it's Greek) that tends to big brother anyone that looks like they need someone to listen to their problems or need neutrally given advice. He will be a very reluctant Combatant because nothing about being a spirit of healing and children equates fighting things. Last time he "fought" anything he sang at it.

Hey all, it's Vale. I already have Heiji Hattori from Detective Conan in game.

This is Nishi Joichiro from Gantz, that one series with the ominous black ball with the human inside of it who sends people that have died on hunts to kill aliens.

Nishi's canon life is pretty messed up as is, so I'm leaning to relax his AU self into something more normal.

Given his background, his mom will have passed away while he was still an infant, and lives with his father alone. Nishi will keep to his canon loner habits. His AU self will more anti-social than anything. AU Nishi will prefer not to reach out to others and only engage in social events if he's unable to avoid them. He'll be the quiet kid who probably only has one or two friends. (Unless anyone wants to fill this role) they will likely just be random NPCs.
Online, Nishi will have more sociable habits and is more inclined to speak out.

Nishi is only 14, so that will place him in the Lower Cycle in school.

I haven't thought of anything outside of this, yet, and still debating on giving him a different name or not. But I'm open to co-oping with some other AUs as well~
