Round 3: Pre-Awakening AUs, Personas and Tarots, Lets Plan!

We've made this post for a very quick round of pre-drive planning. Post the characters that you are interesting in trying out and ask for advice or suggest, or even try to look/entice for castmates! Suggest pre-made AUs where someone from cross canon has been living with you for a while, so when you begin the test proper tomorrow you'll have an idea of what you want to do!

The city of Eddan is like a typical metropolis, your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job.

You are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods/players test-drive related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner! If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

If you want to assign your character a tarot card for test drive purposes, you're free to pick whatever you think fits best. Your character's actual Arcana will be assigned after being accepted.

Hello hello! I as interested in dropping Miu here from the survival horror game Fatal Frame V: Maiden of Black Water! In canon she's a cold and calculating actress/gravure model capable of changing her personality depending on who she's talking to.

She has the ability to read emotions and minds and uses it liberally to figure out how to best get what she wants from people, but in general she doesn't care about them. She believes "everyone lies" and therefore no one is ever truly sincere or without ulterior motives. She herself states, "I'm empty, therefore I can become anything."

Honestly I'm not sure about changing her name or just making her keep her old one bc. well. why not it's not exactly a weird name and I'm terrible with names. But in general her backstory will also remain largely the same-- Mother abandoned her when she was young (in this one it's as a baby instead of when she was 2 or 3) and she was happily adopted (as opposed to unhappily being aware her adopted family took her in out of pity). Generally happy and bright and, well, normal. No seeing ghosts or reading minds here.

I imagine she grew up fairly popular and well-liked, since she's not the sad, gloom-and-doom creepy child she used to be. I imagine she's about 17/18 and about to go into college?? IDK...

If anyone wants to be an adopted family member, potential dorm buddies, etc etc. FLAPS HANDS I DON'T KNOW I'M BAD AT AUs SEND HELP.

Heeeeeey! I'm actually canon blind, but that's a pretty neat AU backstory you have going on.

If you want, I actually wouldn't be opposed to having her be adopted into Nishi's small family (also no mom), but the dad can be super cool so life doesn't completely suck and all.

Also open to alternatives...

That would work for me tbh! (Sorry for delayed response ahhh) I was vague enough about it but I figured she'd be pretty happily content with her family, kind of a cool big sis type up until she got her memories back and all.

Then it's mistrust and mild contempt for days bc Miu... miu has issues....

(No worries!) Her brother, then, is something of a borderline criminal then. Since he hangs with the wrong crowd and sets things on fire for fun. (He won't get caught much though, so that makes it okay, right?)

I expect everything to fall apart once memories are regained, too. Nishi's worse in canon than is in AU, but I'll have set up a permission post by then, so if you want me to avoid certain things you can let me know there. n_n

It will be hilarious to have those reminiscing feelings kick in every now and again.

Miu will be his alibi when need be. I feel like that'd be something she'd be used to? And she'd worry about him and all, but like... she wouldn't rat him out or anything. Gotta protect the bro and all.

Them having moments of sibling bonding or fondness towards each other and then remembering their lives have been Fakety Fake and being awkward about it a moment later lmfao.

Wow. Miu is the best sister ever! They probably drive the father nuts then (when he does find things out, that is). He's currently the manager/owner of a bar, as I have it. So that means he's not home a lot. (Someone has to bring home the bacon, right?) All that time home alone, what're teenage children to do?

The awkwardness will be cherished.
