Round 2: Pre-Awakening AUs, Personas and Tarots, Lets Plan!

We've made this post for a very quick round of pre-drive planning. Post the characters that you are interesting in trying out and ask for advice or suggest, or even try to look/entice for castmates! Suggest pre-made AUs where someone from cross canon has been living with you for a while, so when you begin the test proper tomorrow you'll have an idea of what you want to do!

The city of Eddan is like a typical metropolis, your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job.

You are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods test-drive related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner! If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

You can also request to roll for a Persona. You can find information about Persona and the Awakening here. Ask for as many test drive characters you have if you'd like!

If you want to assign your character a tarot card for test drive purposes, you're free to pick whatever you think fits best. Your character's actual Arcana will be assigned after being accepted.

Don't worry, he won't really expect much from people he sees as friends. Given he'll try to literally be friends with anybody, whether they like him or not. <3 So he won't expect Kidou to be anything but himself, honestly.

Lenka has a bit of canon background with flowers and gardening (though he doesn't garden or cultivate plants in canon because A++ post-apocalyptic wasteland lyfe) so he'll still be into his club post-Awakening, though his attitude towards it may change. That being said I'm leaning towards giving him dual swords for his Awakening weapon so they could totally spar. /o/ Sword buds, maybe.

Hello, Blithe here potentially bringing in Zero from Vampire Knight. I took a look at the tdm last month for another character but that didn't quite work out due to time constraints. Also, I have no clue what Persona is so I'm driving blind here. Please feel free to correct me if I get something wrong!

Anyways, in quick summary: Zero is a vampire hunter who was turned into a vampire with an uncontrollable bloodlust. His backstory is a tragedy that left him an orphan with every reason to hate vampires. It's also the reason why he's so blunt and hard to get along with, yet he's a total pushover when it comes to kids, animals, and sick people. He embodies the classical characteristics of the sacrificial knight but don't expect him to be nice. He's a blunt character that tends to keep to himself. He does better with individuals than he does with a group but he's far enough in canon to get along with others, even if he doesn't necessarily befriend them.

AU Zero. I don't really know what I'll be doing with him - feeling my way through this - but I'm thinking of making him an exchange student. He'll have recently arrived to live with an old family friend after becoming an orphan after his parents die in a plane crash. He'll have a sizeable inheritance to keep people from worrying about him. School-wise, he'll have top grades with his best courses being math and science (canon). He's not a social guy so most people would only know him by seeing him 'around'. Aside from that... I don't really know.

I've got no idea about his Persona. Even after reading the faq I'm still not sure if I understand what a Persona is orz. But then, that's why I'm here!

Both great points! And the update will indeed make it confusing. Especially since Byakuran, once his memories return, will endeavor to ingratiate himself more deeply to those who might reject him, lest he find himself in trouble.

As for the persona thing... It's complicated, but basically they're expressions of the inner self. As far as I can tell, the initial persona, demons, are expressions of darker urges, while proper persona are more of a defense mechanism.

Don't worry -- I'm super Persona-blind too. But you kinda stumble your way through it and just make shit up as you go 8D It's great fun.

Anyway, I was curious what grade you were going to make him as Jaune here is very friendly and would probably try to befriend new kids. He was a new kid once so he knows all about that! I have a lot of his AU info posted on his journal if you want to poke it for ideas.

Honestly, I would love for Mukuro to fail at it because he is terrible at hiding his intentions for anything longer than five minutes so I'm totally down!

LOL yes please let's do things with these two because sunshine and happiness is exactly what Mukuro doesn't want in his life, but needs. I'm thinking it would be fun to do student council shenanigans, or barring that, Mukuro would most likely keep tabs on them and try to foster good relationships with them for his own gain.

And poor Juane I feel bad for him already. I would say Mukuro will try not to take advantage but he definitely will.

Whatever you decide I want these two to sometimes sabotage each other and then turn around and help the other. Also let it become a thing that whenever they need to settle an argument they do rock paper scissors and Byakuran wins 8/10 times.

Okay this is completely different than the CR we have had before, but I would love if Zero came to live with Mukuro and his family, whoever they may be. It could only be a trainwreck.

Argh I have no idea I'm still ruminating but Baal, Andras, Dantalion, and Naberius are the top contenders. ( Ngl if I can't think of anything better I will just go with it, or have it be a fruit hat because I am a serious RPer. )

The more I'm plotting the more I think student council would be fun, so maybe they met each other through Mukuro having to mediate Lenka fighting bullies?

Zero's going to be 18 so where ever that puts him - apparently that's Higher Cycle! Ah! After taking a quick look at his AU history they're both just started the Higher Cycle!

Well, Zero doesn't "befriend" people but he's okay with them sticking around him. He's a tsun sometimes so if he does try to befriend him - and if he's observant - Zero's true intentions are in what he does not what he says. Maybe they can be study buddies or something. Since Zero is better at math and science, yet I may have him leaning toward becoming an ethics teacher which is totally in the humanities area. Maybe we can say that they met when he would go to the restaurant Jaune works at.

▶ Anticipate (Predicts the target of the enemy's next attack. Does not take up a turn, once per battle.)
▶ Scan (Reveals one strength or weakness of any one foe. Navigator decides which one)

NAVIGATOR BATTLE AND NON-BATTLE SPELLS
▶ Surf (Allows the Navigator and targets to walk over water for a short time.)
▶ Fetch (Draws a small object towards the target)
▶ Jump (Doubles an ally's jumping height.)
▶ Dash (Doubles an ally's movement speed.)

SPECIAL NAVIGATOR SPELLS
▶ CommLink (Allows the Navigator to communicate telepathically with other Persona users nearby)
▶ Heart Pulse (Allows Navigator to see a Heart Soul Color, and track Fighters more efficiently.)
▶ Splash (Allows Navigator to breathe underwater for 10 minutes)

Good shit, I considered Andras too for the destruction factor but also, Baalberiths have not-so-accidentally acquired a trollsome rep in-game, so the poor Baals are getting dragged down by association. :Db (Since IC everyone went by their demon names for the first week or so, lots of confusion and hilarity was had with identities.) (Now I just want a fruit hat I can eat. Every time I tag Mukuro I'm going to get hungry...)

Hell ye student council! And tbh the mediating angle sounds pretty good to me, let's do it. o9 Lenka would have cut back on outright fights as they got older but I imagine they've seen a good amount of each other depending on when Mukuro joined the council, lol.
