Round 1: Test Drive

Welcome to the first test drive!
Please don't worry too much about using your Personas correctly or following the prompts exactly. They're meant to give you starting ideas, but by all means, go wild and add more options!
The objective here is to try out characters and see who you could have the most fun with in the game's setting. However, feel free to follow this link to request a Persona be generated for you as if you were part of the game. (Please try to limit this to only one of your test drive characters if you can as to not overwhelm us! Never mind generating Personas is a pretty fast process! Request for as many characters away as you like!)
If you have questions about the test drive itself, you can ask them here! If you want to play an AU don't forget this entire post can be used for you to get AU scenarios set up and see who your character might have been related too or know before Awakening.
Now then, let's begin...

Prompt 1 - From Dawn to Dusk
The city has been abuzz for the past few weeks. A new string of murders is making front page news and serving as a grim reminder why the nightly curfew is so important. As families, perhaps even someone close to you, mourn, pressure continues to rise at the many police stations and at city hall. The people are afraid and they’re demanding answers.
There's not much time for you to dwell on this.. Like everyone else in the city, you have a lot to do, and a tight schedule to do it in. You don't even notice the application that has appeared on your phone's screen. The headache that follows, however, is strange and disorienting, and it brings with it an odd sensation that something is wrong today. You’re just not sure why.
The day passes by and soon, it's close to midnight. Your body, if you're not in bed by now, is completely exhausted. Despite your best efforts, you'll find yourself closing your eyes. Too bad it's quickly interrupted by a strange noise, and movement like something pulsating softly.
It's your phone, or at least you think it's your phone, but it's never glowed this orange before. There’s mist rising above it almost like fire...something's definitely bizarre about this. Despite your fears, you forces yourself to open it, and click on that strange snake-like icon.

It opens revealing a single statement and blank box;
Your fingers move on their own. Before you have time to really think about it, and as the pain inside your head becomes so terrible you start breathing rapidly and sweating, you've entered a series of letters and pressed enter. Now you're in a large chatroom with many others...but your 'name' you've never even heard of it...have you? It almost feels like you have...

Prompt 2 - Awakening
The last rays of the sun disappeared over the horizon almost an hour ago, yet here you are, walking through the apple orchards located behind one of the campus wings. The strange app that's been sending you strange clues the past seven days now says you're ready to face the truth. It told you to come here tonight, but never to travel alone. Repeatedly, it warns you to make sure to have someone close by if you're to survive…but besides some friends, what else did you bring with you? Did you pack for this, or did you figure you'd make it up as you go? Are you in a position to be able to bring weapons with you that no one would suspect?
Something is out there, and it's getting closer.
Before you can think, you see it: a large, blackish mass, almost like slime, slithering along the ground resembling a vaguely humanoid shape with glowing yellow eyes. When it roars again, it reveals rows and rows of teeth. This was a mistake your brain warns. The strange name from the chatroom, the days leading up to this...you're fairly certain even if you are prepared that you're going to die.
And yet, something inside you stirs. Even as they move closer, you find yourself charging instead of running, as your heartbeat increases. A voice inside is guiding you, each movement bringing forth a surge of memories of a past that you had lost. You’re angry and confused, but your pain, your fears, your rage for all of this… all of that needs to be taken out on those creatures.
All you need to do now is to tear out your heart.

Prompt 3 - A new, old life
Now that you have your memories back, the strange veil of this world has been somewhat lifted. Things that seemed simple now seem strange. You have so many questions, but not enough answers. Then there's the new weapons you wield and the strange creature inside of you...your Heart Persona.
During the day, you are encouraged to continue to live as you did before, but with old and new memories together, sometimes it is difficult to keep acting like you did. Will it cause issues in your job or school life? Will it change your reactions to whatever life you had here? Do you notice others like you who have awakened?
Maybe it would be a good time to send a chatroom message, just to ask others what they are planning to do. Maybe you should set up a meeting to fight shadows at night. Maybe you’ll organize a plan of attack or set up a club to escape the strange looks others have been giving you. Maybe you just want someone's opinion on the best place to have pizza. Hey, no one said you had to use the AppleNET just for serious things, after all.

Christopher Noro transferred to Green Valley in his fourth year of Primary.
[And how odd was it to say such when part of him feels like that was the real set of memories, even while most of him felt what he knew regarding his life that involved Kidou was the real set.]
You've likely noticed me in passing helping in the library.
no subject
[He hesitates for a moment. He'd never put any significance to his name before. It meant something, but it meant nothing ultimately beyond a poetic statement. But now... there's no way to hear it without hearing how it's most likely spelled. The real meaning eluded him until now.
But it's just a moment, and Kidou's voice is closer to emotionless as he continues on.]
Michi Yamashita wouldn't have put any significance on it.
[He steadfastly refuses to say that Kidou would ever have not noticed Genda. That just isn't something that would ever be true.]
It's not somewhere he's spent much time in.
no subject
He always did flit about a bit.
[Because Christopher knows that name in passing, because Michi was well liked so talk of him did happen from time to time when people didn't actually want to study but had to.]
The different years also would have kept Michi from noticing Christopher.
[Because there's no mistaking the green of his tie amidst the see of blue and black that makes up the school uniform for their section. The statement is also him showing he understands and is in no way believing Kidou would have ignored him if he had known.]
no subject
Yeah, they would.
[His gratitude translates back into a smile.]
You know... I wasn't sure which was the real version. [Kidou or Yamashita.] I know I've never played soccer before. Yet I know this game.
[He turns back to watch the practice match. To his relief, and increasing confusion, he has some answer to that. It's just not as definitive as one as he needs.]
Having met you, I know I'm not imagining all this. Was it like that for you?
no subject
Before today, if you had asked me to just list the field positions I would have failed to do so. Yet, now it feels more of an oddity to not be down there playing as well. Seeing you as Kidou made it more then just mental dissonance. You always seem to be the true constant in what feels correct.
[He's stopped watching the match below by this point and is mostly just staring at the field in general. There's more to it then that, but even though he knows Kidou and knows he's his teammate, there's both the manufactured distance that Teikoku had instilled in him as Genda and Christopher's own lack of any friendship that wasn't casual and fleeting. It's why he holds back on actually saying more then just that regarding how much his memories hold Kidou in such high regard. Genda had never found a means or the strength to be like Sakuma and find ways to be closer without the Commander disapproving. So while those memories made him realize how important Kidou was to Genda that didn't mean Genda was just as important to Kidou.]
Even when you weren't actually at Teikoku you were still that constant.
no subject
He couldn't express in words how sorry he was to do that. Even the apologies he gave when pressed were insufficient. Teikoku was-]
That field was my starting point. My team is still my team whether or not I'm on its roster. Even if I'm not there, that's a constant to me.
[There's such a dissonance between Kidou and Yamashita. As the part of him that's Kidou mulls over it, the part of him that isn't already is speaking up without having given consideration to the words. The smile doesn't stay off his face long; it's already woven its way back in place, if a bit softer.]
I may be Raimon now, but... Teikoku will always define me.
[There's more truth to that than he realized until he said it. It IS true; even looking past the part of Teikoku that had seamlessly melded with Kageyama for so long, Kidou would proudly carry the hopes and pride of Teikoku on his shoulders even as he led Raimon to (hopefully) victory. The two schools blended with him. He's glad that he spent half his time at Teikoku if he never transferred back. That way at least... he'd always be half of both.
He could live with that much. As Sakuma had said - they didn't feel he'd abandoned them because he hadn't. And wouldn't, in his heart.]
no subject
Despite this there's an open expression and smile in answer to Kidou. A reassurance he didn't actually mean anything negative with what he had said.]
No, there was never any doubt regarding your loyalty to the team. Even when some of us tested that at various points.
no subject
No. That wasn't really you guys.
[But he'll drop that topic now, not willing to delve too far into pain. It's like he just relived it, even though he knows that it took place months ago. The price of remembering things all at once...]
Anyway... are you considering picking the sport up here?
no subject
He was likely already going to have to once more acknowledge just what it was Fudou had done without adding that discussion into it.]
There's a large want to do so, but I'm uncertain if it would make the feeling better or not.
[This sport wasn't the same as his memories and while he somehow knows even with the knowledge he likely can't call up a hissatsu the memory is still there. Add knowing Kidou and likely others are here from those memories, and the chance they wouldn't be on the same team...well it's enough to make him pause in actually going down to the club and showing interest.]
no subject
[It's definite in the way he says it. They share their own soccer still, one that no one could take away or change.
Not having the ability to use hissatsu would be strange, and the team down there isn't to the ability he's used to. It's strange to see, given that they're older than he is. They're not playing at the level that Kidou would expect. And that would mean that the same drawbacks he's noticing, Genda most certainly has as well; he can understand the hesitation.
And the possible frustration. He had to whip Raimon into shape, after all...]
But it is a soccer. I'd prefer having something to nothing at all.
no subject
[And really, even if he just ended up playing pick up games it would be far better then not playing at all. Even if he now had to figure out why Christopher was suddenly interested in a sport he had barely known existed.]
Perhaps we'll be able to play a few games together before the year ends as well.
[He means it to be a joke, but it's also a truth considering he'll be in a different cycle at the end of the school year.]
no subject
[Being in a higher year than him.. that's a harsh thing to consider, isn't it? That they have a year where they really won't be able to. It seems oddly like a cruel twist of fate given that they only just got the chance to play together again on the same side.
He means it deeply - he wants to have more time before it's over.]
We'll have to schedule times.
[He's not going to let that go now that it's a possibility.
Good grief kid it's not like you're not both going to the same school the whole time]no subject
I know some of those in the club use the gym during bad weather as well for pick up games. That could make up for any conflicts of schedules that can't be resolved.
[He may be skirting the edges of curfew getting home to do this, but he wasn't going to let that stop him now that he knew it was something he could have.]
no subject
[Curfew is something that Michi's only skirted once - and that was following the insane directions of a phone app. That was a stupid, insane decision, but he'd had to make it for reasons he still couldn't explain. It was an instinct he couldn't fight. At that time, he swore that he'd think twice on ever coming close to breaking it again...
... but now that Kidou's back, things have changed. If he has to cut it close, then he will. Now more than ever, he needs soccer as a way to cope with the new insanity that seems to be his life.
Aside from a somewhat distant look - and with the sunglasses, it's harder to tell - there's just a moment of silence. He could be contemplating over how to go about this. Please assume that is the case, Genda.]
Right now, I'm part of the track team. It shouldn't be difficult to keep an eye on when there's a field open.
no subject
That moment of confusion is why he doesn't look too closely at that moment of silence.]
Several teams are also winding down practice wise, so that should free up space as well. Should we just use that app to keep in contact?
no subject
[He never used to be quite this prepared, but this new and questionably improved Michi carries with him a notepad and pen just on the offchance he needs it. He digs these out of his pocket, writes down something, and tears out the sheet for Genda to take.]
In case the app proves unreliable.
[Looks like a neatly penned phone number.]
