skippedabeat | Round 1: Pre-Awakening AUs, Personas and Tarots, Lets Plan!

In order to do a little bit of planning before the test drive appears, we've made this post for a very quick round of pre-drive planning. Post the characters that you are interesting in trying out and ask for advice or suggest, or even try to look/entice for castmates! Suggest pre-made AUs where someone from cross canon has been living with you for a while, so when you begin the test proper tomorrow you'll have an idea of what you want to do!

The city of Eddan is like a typical metropolis, your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job.

As the test drive begins, you are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods test-drive related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner! If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

You can also request to roll for a Persona. You can find information about Persona and the Awakening here. Ask for as many test drive characters you have if you'd like!

If you want to assign your character a tarot card for test drive purposes, you're free to pick whatever you think fits best. Your character's actual Arcana will be assigned after being accepted.

Fashionably late? Or probably not...

Anyway! I'm Lisa, and I'm considering bringing Hikari Natsumi from Kamen Rider Decade to this game. She's a tsundere heroine who ends up traveling between worlds alongside the titular character, who may or may not be the Destroyer of Worlds. Before and during the series, her only blood family is her grandfather, who she co-runs the Hikari Photo Studio with, and said hero ends up living with them because hey~ turns out her home is capable of traveling between worlds.

...yeah. That's Canon.

For her AU, her name will be a bit different, as will her family background. Instead of her grandfather being her family, her parents are actually around instead. Also, her name will be Hikari Niko - with her first name being written as "sun child" in Japanese. She's a *little* miffed at her mother for trying to be *creative* with the naming thing.

But yeah, she's a professional photographer who does blogging for a group or two on the side. Dressing more casual than her canon self, she enjoys chilling with friends and customers as much as she enjoys getting that perfect shot. She's not interested in learning the financial side of the business yet - and why should she? Her parents are still around, and will be for quite some time in her mind; she can pick it up later.

Should we have them know each other before the app thing? Or would you rather have them get to (re-)know each other during the whole thing? If the former, I could see them as friendly rivals - Niko could even call him her frenemy.

Frenemy oh man... but how and why? His horrible luck with photography? He's height? The fact that he's been giving her bad nicknames since grade school?

Bad nicknames would be a good place to start. The bad luck with photography would come as they grew older, I think.

...at least she won't have The Thumb until the Awakening, so he's in luck on that point. That, and she's not so tsun; just mildly annoyed at him.

I think his photos will probably be fine since he won't have the warp effect to him until after his powers come back anyways.

True! Though she will still claim that her photos are forever better than his.

Though her parents probably won't be as lenient about him using the Studio for free as Grandpa had been...
