Round 1: Pre-Awakening AUs, Personas and Tarots, Lets Plan!

In order to do a little bit of planning before the test drive appears, we've made this post for a very quick round of pre-drive planning. Post the characters that you are interesting in trying out and ask for advice or suggest, or even try to look/entice for castmates! Suggest pre-made AUs where someone from cross canon has been living with you for a while, so when you begin the test proper tomorrow you'll have an idea of what you want to do!

The city of Eddan is like a typical metropolis, your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job.

As the test drive begins, you are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods test-drive related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner! If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

You can also request to roll for a Persona. You can find information about Persona and the Awakening here. Ask for as many test drive characters you have if you'd like!

If you want to assign your character a tarot card for test drive purposes, you're free to pick whatever you think fits best. Your character's actual Arcana will be assigned after being accepted.

Hi! I'm quin and I'm really excited to test drive (and app lbr this game is everything I've wanted for ages) Yuri Plisetsky from Yuri!!! on Ice. A few of us are planning to app in (Yurio, Yuuri, Victor, and Otabek) and we'd love more canonmates (and non-canonmates!) to play with and of course to collaborate with.

For Yuri's memloss AU here I'm planning on him being a no good delinquent attending Green Valley (only his attendance and grades are perfect please don't tell anyone and ruin his street cred). I'm thinking he's probably really unsatisfied and unfocused because he hasn't found a passion here, so he acts out a lot and if you've ever been in his class (he's 15) you probably know him as being kind of a bully.

It'd be really cool to come up with some pre-planned negative CR since he's so dang grumpy, but hooligan buddies (or someone for him to be softer at) would be fun as hell too.

I'm not sure what kind of negative CR could come from this nerd and your loser, but I know I want it.

(Especially since pre-awakening, Chikusa will be sort of a simple nerd with really good grades and minor depression, and then he's going to get all those memories of violently murdering mafia and might snap in response to bullshit.)

I'm not sure what form his depression would take but what I thought of immediately is if he were to have any sort of emotional breakdown at school and Yuri happened to be around at the time he could totally pick on him for it. He'd need a reason to actively dislike him if we wanted it to be a recurring thing but he's not really shown to be too nice when it comes to others being very vulnerable so it could work out easily enough for just that reason. Like he has this amazing habit of coming across poor Chikusa when he's upset and starts to think he's a baby or something, lmfao.

It'd also be pretty fun for me to have someone snap back at him after he's been mean!

But yeah, Yuuri and Chikusa just having horrifically poor timing with one another sounds excellent, especially since it looks like they'll be sharing a counselor too. I can easily imagine Chikusa making things worse for himself by making blunt statements about something like that which just makes Yuuri not like him more and thus has them clashing harder, if that makes sense.

(Put them both in time out is what I'm saying.)

You mean like they run into each other at the office at some point or whatever and he comments on Yuri also seeing a councilor? If so that makes perfect sense and that in particular would REALLY piss him off, he hates that he's gotta see one and would be pretty embarrassed about it. Please pick on him in return the little shit deserves it.

I have a 13-14? it's unclear- year old who's adamantly against bullies, and in pre-awakening wouldn't be too reserved and disciplined to act on that. If you want negative CR from the starting gate, we can arrange this.

Let's arrange for this! Yuri is way too eager to pick fights for someone so tiny. So it'd be simple enough to handwave an initial encounter with him intervening during like lunch hour or break or some other time where the different grades might mix more. He'd super hate people meddling and would 100% Remember him for it.

He will aggressively resist being befriended but going off what I know about her (and what you wrote in your own top level) she'd actually probably have some success! He'll totally be grumpy at her but he'd also be totally weak to a bright nice girl trying to be his friend, especially when it's likely he doesn't have many. She could totally get on his case.
