Round 4: Pre-Awakening AUs, Personas and Tarots, Lets Plan!

We've made this post for a very quick round of pre-drive planning. Post the characters that you are interested in trying out and ask for advice or suggest, or even try to look/entice for castmates! Suggest pre-made AUs where someone from cross canon has been living with you for a while, so when you begin the TDM proper you'll have an idea of what you want to do!

The city of Eddan is like a typical metropolis, your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job.

You are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods test-drive related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner! If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

You can also request to roll for a Persona. You can find information about Persona and the Awakening here. Ask for as many test drive characters you have if you'd like!

If you want to assign your character a tarot card for test drive purposes, you're free to pick whatever you think fits best. Your character's actual Arcana will be assigned after being accepted.

To request a persona, fill out the form below and reply to this post. We will try to roll them for you as soon as we can!

If you're curious to see a full list of spells, you can find it here! Keep in mind that you won't be using all of the listed skills right away, if at all. When you request your persona, you do not list the spells, just what spell groups you want and we'll do the rest.

<u><big><big>Persona</big></big></u> <strong>Branch:</strong> (A Combatant or a Navigator - Remember Navigators are more rare and tend to be tactical people. Please pick the role that would be the most fitting for your character.) <strong>Type(s):</strong> (Take a look at the Persona information page if needed or for a refresher. These are the attack spells of the game. Pick the type you'd like and you will be given a spell accordingly. The possible element types are: Physical, Fire, Ice, Wind, Electric, Nuclear, Psy, Dark and Light. Combatants can pick up to two, Navigators pick only one.) <strong>Style(s):</strong> (Take a look at the Persona information page if needed or for a refresher. These are additional spells to aid the users in battle. Pick a style and will be given spells accordingly. The possible styles are: Healer, Protector, Buffer, Negotiator, Sorcerer. Going to be honest, I'm not sure how much I've got her voice down, considering I haven't played her in a few years, but I've got a lot of stuff figured out for her.

First off, her Persona would be Forneus, mostly because I sold myself on the mental image of Godzilla emerging from the ocean with a teeny-tiny tiara, and I had to do it. She'd be Combatant with the elements of both Ice and Light, the Sorcerer style, and Dual passive. And she'd be coming from the end of 0.2.

As for her AU life, I was thinking she's a ballet dancer--not sure if still a student or if she's doing this professionally? And as for an AU name, I'm thinking maybe Katarina, but I don't have a last name (ideally, some kind of play on water or the sea).

I do have weapons sketched out, but I'm still coloring them in, so I can't post them yet.

So...suggestions?

I don't know a ton about Aqua, admittedly, but from what I do know, that all sounds awesome for her, and fitting.

What are you hoping for some suggestions on? It sounds like you otherwise have a pretty good skeleton!

AU life ideas, I guess? Just to flesh things out a little and figure out if she'd know anybody. Not to mention I still don't have a full name for her.

I have some vague ideas for possible au lives, but I'm not too sure which direction I want to go.

I'm thinking either I mirror the canon a little and have him be the neglected child of wealthy parents who care more about their fancy sports cars than their son. In this case, he's probably filling his time with various clubs and school activities. An honor student, on the student council, always willing to stay after school and help out his classmates and teachers, etc. Because maybe if he excels enough that will get his parents' attention. He'd definitely notice the depressing parallels as his memories return. But it would be easier for him to put this life to the side and focus on the mission.

Or I could go the other way and he's got a poor but loving family who supports him. He probably still gets good grades at school and goes out of his way to help his classmates, but is involved in less clubs and formal activities. The spare time here is probably filled with a part time job because obviously he wants to help make ends meet. He's a lot happier in this version, and less insecure, but just as hard a worker. But overall it will make his returning memories seem like a burden, and they'll be much harder to accept.

Like I said, I'm still mulling over my options. Suggestions are appreciated, and not limited to these two ideas. Thanks!

(Persona wise I'm thinking combatant with wind/light? I really haven't given it much thought yet. orz)

I don't know a lot about the series, though I just looked it up and it looked interesting. Very political/adventure-oriented, yes? What I read reminds me a little of the Twelve Kingdoms, if you know that series.

I can say if he's interested in a part-time job, I would willingly lure him to Ran's mother's flower shop. ;)

I adore Twelve Kingdoms! They are pretty similar although the Arslan series is probably a little more action oriented.

Arslan working at a flower shop would be so cute! That would definitely be in line with my second idea, but I'm leaning a little more toward that one anyway. If only because its less like his canon circumstances.

I've got a solid hold on Bernkastel, but suggestions are welcome!

She's a combatant with Dark/Nuclear powers. Her style is Negotiator, and she's on the Offensive.

I'm thinking Baalberith for her demon, because the lies thing + gold lore really represents her canon, but what else do you think suits Bern?

She's a total monster of a being and even with memloss I don't know what will stop her from being so, because events from her combined canon have made it that bad. yikes. And to add insult to ultimate injury, let's have her name be Rica Fuero. Her weapon is easy to guess.
