Guts hums a little in response. He knows the feeling. He doesn't say it. It's not really about him, Riki doesn't need to know about his...(oh god) dads pile of issues from a time that doesn't even exist anymore.

At least, Guts thinks, he can be better then Gambino. He won't let this kid get involved in things before his time. He'll make sure he stays safe, despite the mounting dangers in the city.

He ruffles Niki's head a little. "Come on kid." His voice s a softer sort of gruff now. "Why don't we get you some lunch or something. You've been running around for hours."
