[ There’s nothing preventing Ghislain from confronting his fate. Having attempts to discard the unwanted application from his phone had failed, he had attempted to ignore its perturbing appearance into his life. Ghislain isn’t much of a fan of change, never mind surprises of such a ridiculous caliber.
However, it becomes incredibly difficult for him to ignore the fact that everything around him had abruptly and permanently changed as he glares in the express direction of the toothy beast. Assessing his surroundings, he knows that the best idea is to run somewhere just so he can get his bearings together. There’s the nagging voice in his head, but Ghislain remains highly resistant to just listening it and tearing out his heart right now.
This isn’t the best time or place. ]
… I was a fool to think that this was all in jest. [ He sneers beneath his breath, before he turns on the sole of his foot and quickly ascends a flight of stairs. Gripping the railing, he places a hand over his heart, face contorted in pain. ]

[ After the truth has been unraveled, Ghislain is making a truly valiant attempt to make it seem as though nothing has changed. Regardless of who may be, where the truth lies and where it does not, he cannot afford to cave into his weakness in doubt.
That’s why, unlike the usual material he'd pursue in the confines of a library, the man reads a book on European medieval combat. Where as he would have never bothered to read such books (there is so much to learn from the past that you begin to forget the present, he believes) before, there he is. Everything is familiar to him, everything comes to life as though it’s second nature. To be a soldier, a knight…
He abruptly closes the book, and stands up to return it to its proper place on the shelves. So distracted, that he overlooks his surroundings to such a degree that he collides into another. ]

[ Ghislain has decided to take his predicament as seriously as he possibly can.
Whether or not the answers that will be provided to him will actually be helpful… is a different matter altogether. ]
Before I make my return to that… place, I would like to be well-prepared. What about the rules of this other world and the nature of their beasts did you discover in your time there?
