Round 1: Pre-Awakening AUs, Personas and Tarots, Lets Plan!

In order to do a little bit of planning before the test drive appears, we've made this post for a very quick round of pre-drive planning. Post the characters that you are interesting in trying out and ask for advice or suggest, or even try to look/entice for castmates! Suggest pre-made AUs where someone from cross canon has been living with you for a while, so when you begin the test proper tomorrow you'll have an idea of what you want to do!

The city of Eddan is like a typical metropolis, your characters can have any job that would make sense in a busy city. They don't have to be restricted to the school, or have a school job.

As the test drive begins, you are free to continue using this post to plan or ask the mods test-drive related questions. We'll do our best to answer in a timely manner! If you're not sure, don't be shy about asking. There's a lot of freedom!

You can also request to roll for a Persona. You can find information about Persona and the Awakening here. Ask for as many test drive characters you have if you'd like!

If you want to assign your character a tarot card for test drive purposes, you're free to pick whatever you think fits best. Your character's actual Arcana will be assigned after being accepted.

2. HELL YE that is exactly how friendship works, the buds that kick ass/get their asses kicked together kick back together, it's a time-honored tradition. 8)) Preventing people from getting knocked out is probably 80% of the reason Lenka keeps getting in trouble at school but he's just like #yolo.

1. Hey it works, I'm also canon blind -- to both your character and the persona premise 8D I'M DOUBLE BILND YAY

2. That's how the BEST frienships work. Jaune would be like "how do I repay you? how do i learn to fight like that" and then it would probably just go downhill from there. I mean, not that canon!Jaune doesn't get into trouble -- but he's totally all about kicking ass for his friends -- even if he's likely to get his own ass beaten in the processes, but then he just tries to get stronger. He's very shonen that way.

3. Leadership is a fun journey for the guy cause he feels so unworthy of it and yet he keeps proving that he's actually pretty good at it.

:D Maybe once test drive is up we can try somethings. I'm still wavering as to which character to go with, so this might help.

imagine the scene: moon's depressed at visiting the hospital (that's a little bit of me projecting because i start low key panicking whenever i'm in one) and then she sees FAMOUS MOVIE GUY SHE LIKES and it's just super adorable

It's okay, Margulis is honestly kind of a nerd himself. He'll go on forever about history and ancient cultures/mythologies if you let him, and he's very prone to asking questions. Also, he doesn't wax poetic. He wanes laconic, and only rarely.

Margulis runs his own thing, just one of those independent combat dojos you see around. He'll be perfectly willing to give lessons to other Persona users, and would probably have a class specifically for them, to be honest. Teaching things more oriented toward mixed melee and magic and fighting non-humanoid enemies.

oho, nice! c: i'm not sure that eikichi would be the club type of guy, but he'd definitely be interested in the "competition," as it were. maybe someone in the club could be hounding him to join and he keeps dodging because cool guys like him don't participate in clubs or something... BUT NICE some friction between them would be fun, i think! /o/ if anything, he'd be the type to intimidate others and not really beat on people unless he absolutely felt there wasn't a choice, so there's... that at least... He will aggressively resist being befriended but going off what I know about her (and what you wrote in your own top level) she'd actually probably have some success! He'll totally be grumpy at her but he'd also be totally weak to a bright nice girl trying to be his friend, especially when it's likely he doesn't have many. She could totally get on his case.

AT LEAST it's not as lengthy as like Bleach or Naruto or One Piece. 'Cause canon review would be a LOT harder for me if it was. lsjf And yes, Hibari with cute animals is always a great thing. '^' - BUT KEEEN. That is a good character to have previous played from what I recall about him. :> Sadly Yamamoto's been my only KHR muse.

AH, and I meant more your post about him but oh! That does sound pretty interesting, I've been wanting to check out the anime at some point but I have like a million other things that I've been needing to finish/check out so chances of me actually watching it are slim. x x;

1. Heheheh, that just means you get all the BEST surprises! (They are totally good surprises, probably. ☆)

2. Shounen friendships are the best friendships, ridiculous shounen losers of a feather need to stick together! Probably in this AU Lenka's not a practiced fighter, but he is pretty agile and athletic so he can at least knock out some punks or something. ;) And then they can go off together and get into ridiculous scrapes for FRIENDSHIP. I feel like they might get along too well...

3. He's probably a little more settled into the leadership thing but man, this Persona thing is a whole new ballgame. They can both be Confused.

And yes, I am totally up for TDM shenanigans. \o/

So. I've been think- oh right, I'm Red, hi, we're color triplets with Other Gray around. Anyway. So I've been trying to think about angles and shit and I gotta admit I'm a little stumped, but...

Okay. I'm just going to spitball ideas and if you're interested you can bite with whatever.

So, there's possibly Tsuru co-opting Okuyasu as an Art Minion at some point. One of the things I've been doing with him is having him ICly put up the random guerrilla art sculpture here and there, and so far I've got two people who met him by him going, "Hey, you're not doing anything! Hold this." And next thing they know they're helping him assemble some kind of giant modern art dragon to lurk behind the bookstore, halfway to the woods.

Or...where is he living? I got as far as all of one person, but is his family in an apartment building? The reason why I ask is 'cause I've got one person who already agreed to be in the same apartment building and it might not seem like much, but the second weird shit starts going down they're probably going to spend a decent amount of time together!

Or what about his brothers? More specifically, are you k- yeah, I got as far as the RPS kid in DiU. (I need to get back to it.) Anyway, are you keeping them? And how old are they? As in, are they old enough to have moved out because independence. There's also the angle of 'hey, it's my brother's hellspawn roommate from two years ago who I met a few times (as they had to pick up things from the house) and I heard stories about how his hellspawn roommate left a giant paper mache bull in my bro's bed by accident and I can never forget him and now we're teammates, why.'

He'd talk to her just to try to cheer her up, too. The lengths he went to in canon for a depressed kid in the hospital were...pretty ridiculous. The only appropriate word is 'shenanigans.'

Yeah Lenka at least in AU is a good kid who mostly (mostly.......) listens to his parents and teachers and so on, minus the times he decides they don't know what's best. :'D He's a little bit stubborn. He'll also basically walk through hellfire for his friends so Eikichi would have a bud 4 life no matter what Awakening brings.

That being said, since Lenka's got the sane household Eikichi can probably come around and hang out. He's also really good at finding abandoned spots and hiding places all over the city I'm thinking so they can loiter a bit every now and then if Eikichi wants to stay out longer. :3c

BUT honestly that's not a bad thing, 'cause he does kind of need people to occasionally help him out with that stuff. THAT SAID they could also do sword fighting stuff! When they awaken, so maybe they can give each other tips and tricks on stuff like that as well. :D
