He finally pulls himself to his feet, dusting himself off a bit. "If that's the case, then it might be better not to remember at all." And then he can't help but flinch slightly as one of his old, real, memories surfaces about what Gai was like when he temporarily had amnesia. Maybe ignorance is bliss, after all. Though on some level he can't help but rebel against that thought.
