Heiji was equally annoyed by the chain of events that occurred and it was unlike him to forget as many things as he had to such a degree. All of it was suspicious, and just like his friend/rival. Heiji wasn't about to idly standby and wait for things to unravel without personally getting involved. He, too, had made it a point to information track whatever was posted. There was nothing concrete to go off of, leaving him to hypotheticals that required more intelligence before acting. At least for now.
It helped that, of all the people he could have arrived with, Kudo was amongst them. It would make the investigation go by faster, or at least more thoroughly. It didn't help to quell Heiji's annoyance however.
