Round 1: Test Drive

Welcome to the first test drive!
Please don't worry too much about using your Personas correctly or following the prompts exactly. They're meant to give you starting ideas, but by all means, go wild and add more options!
The objective here is to try out characters and see who you could have the most fun with in the game's setting. However, feel free to follow this link to request a Persona be generated for you as if you were part of the game. (Please try to limit this to only one of your test drive characters if you can as to not overwhelm us! Never mind generating Personas is a pretty fast process! Request for as many characters away as you like!)
If you have questions about the test drive itself, you can ask them here! If you want to play an AU don't forget this entire post can be used for you to get AU scenarios set up and see who your character might have been related too or know before Awakening.
Now then, let's begin...

Prompt 1 - From Dawn to Dusk
The city has been abuzz for the past few weeks. A new string of murders is making front page news and serving as a grim reminder why the nightly curfew is so important. As families, perhaps even someone close to you, mourn, pressure continues to rise at the many police stations and at city hall. The people are afraid and they’re demanding answers.
There's not much time for you to dwell on this.. Like everyone else in the city, you have a lot to do, and a tight schedule to do it in. You don't even notice the application that has appeared on your phone's screen. The headache that follows, however, is strange and disorienting, and it brings with it an odd sensation that something is wrong today. You’re just not sure why.
The day passes by and soon, it's close to midnight. Your body, if you're not in bed by now, is completely exhausted. Despite your best efforts, you'll find yourself closing your eyes. Too bad it's quickly interrupted by a strange noise, and movement like something pulsating softly.
It's your phone, or at least you think it's your phone, but it's never glowed this orange before. There’s mist rising above it almost like fire...something's definitely bizarre about this. Despite your fears, you forces yourself to open it, and click on that strange snake-like icon.

It opens revealing a single statement and blank box;
Your fingers move on their own. Before you have time to really think about it, and as the pain inside your head becomes so terrible you start breathing rapidly and sweating, you've entered a series of letters and pressed enter. Now you're in a large chatroom with many others...but your 'name' you've never even heard of it...have you? It almost feels like you have...

Prompt 2 - Awakening
The last rays of the sun disappeared over the horizon almost an hour ago, yet here you are, walking through the apple orchards located behind one of the campus wings. The strange app that's been sending you strange clues the past seven days now says you're ready to face the truth. It told you to come here tonight, but never to travel alone. Repeatedly, it warns you to make sure to have someone close by if you're to survive…but besides some friends, what else did you bring with you? Did you pack for this, or did you figure you'd make it up as you go? Are you in a position to be able to bring weapons with you that no one would suspect?
Something is out there, and it's getting closer.
Before you can think, you see it: a large, blackish mass, almost like slime, slithering along the ground resembling a vaguely humanoid shape with glowing yellow eyes. When it roars again, it reveals rows and rows of teeth. This was a mistake your brain warns. The strange name from the chatroom, the days leading up to this...you're fairly certain even if you are prepared that you're going to die.
And yet, something inside you stirs. Even as they move closer, you find yourself charging instead of running, as your heartbeat increases. A voice inside is guiding you, each movement bringing forth a surge of memories of a past that you had lost. You’re angry and confused, but your pain, your fears, your rage for all of this… all of that needs to be taken out on those creatures.
All you need to do now is to tear out your heart.

Prompt 3 - A new, old life
Now that you have your memories back, the strange veil of this world has been somewhat lifted. Things that seemed simple now seem strange. You have so many questions, but not enough answers. Then there's the new weapons you wield and the strange creature inside of you...your Heart Persona.
During the day, you are encouraged to continue to live as you did before, but with old and new memories together, sometimes it is difficult to keep acting like you did. Will it cause issues in your job or school life? Will it change your reactions to whatever life you had here? Do you notice others like you who have awakened?
Maybe it would be a good time to send a chatroom message, just to ask others what they are planning to do. Maybe you should set up a meeting to fight shadows at night. Maybe you’ll organize a plan of attack or set up a club to escape the strange looks others have been giving you. Maybe you just want someone's opinion on the best place to have pizza. Hey, no one said you had to use the AppleNET just for serious things, after all.

Yamamoto Takeshi | Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Can you tell how excited I am about this)1 - Bababan!
YamamotoTakeshi: Yo! :D
YamamotoTakeshi: I can't sleep, and my phone was doing this really weird glowing thing so I figured I'd check it out, but I wasn't expecting this to be a chatroom. That's really cool.
YamamotoTakeshi: I wonder where I got this name from, though... maybe it's a baseball player I like and I forgot?? If feels like it has something to do with baseball.
YamamotoTakeshi: Or maybe not lol.
2 - Tear it out.
[Yamamoto had plenty of friends, but none of which he'd want to put into danger. He figured he'd be better off wandering around and exploring things on his own, so it's no surprise to anyone that knew him, that the baseball nerd could be found with a bat casually slung over his shoulders. His best and only weapon, though he didn't intend on using it, but he wasn't about to ignore the app's hints about possible threats either.
He felt a little guilty about sneaking out this late without telling anyone, but something didn't sit right with him. Game or not, he wanted to make sure that the people he'd talked to and became buddies with in the chatroom would be safe - so if he happens to see a familiar face on his way to the school, it didn't take much for him to cheerfully jog his way over.]
Hey, hey! Mind if I tag along?
3 - The 10th Rain Guardian.
[It was hard to focus on school with so many other things floating around in his mind that wasn't baseball for once. Memories of his friends and the trials they faced had been distracting enough to make sure of that, in between the ones that made this place feel familiar. He didn't think either of them were fake, as he felt he'd experienced them just as much as the other, but even Yamamoto had to admit that one seemed to be more important to him.
Needless to say, practice didn't go well. Enough that he lingered a little longer on the baseball field while the rest of the team had gone home for the day, practicing his swings and occasionally running around the field just to burn off energy. Though, anyone who came across him might also notice he occasionally seemed to shift into something not very baseball like, and more fitting of a sword had he been wielding one.]
(Or wildcard me!)
3
[He's not really expecting to see Yamamoto over there, but at the same time isn't surprised. Settling in the stands, for a long while he just watches the person who's been his best friend for- years, now, right? And yet- ]
["You're in my way", the whirr of a toy that isn't twisting through the air, a snap and glare and this really is becoming so troublesome, now, isn't it?]
[....It's not a funny joke, the things that keep flashing through his head.]
[Eventually, tired of watching, he makes his way down to the catcher's box.]
Did you do that badly today?
no subject
Not that Yamamoto ever saw them as such, nor intended to treat his friend any differently just because their old(?) past was a bit more rocky than before. So after a few more seconds of silence, Chikusa gets a smile - albeit with a slight flinch in tow, as he swung his bat down to use it as something to lean against.]
Haha. Did I make it that obvious?
no subject
[And what a strange thing, to know that. To the person he had been before, Chikusa Kakimoto, another alias among so many others- he'd known nothing about Takeshi Yamamoto. Sure, he'd known the things that had seemed relevant, like his place in that old ranking chart, but.... nothing personal.]
[It hadn't been necessary.]
[The same tug pulls him in one direction, even as all his memories up now to flinch away in the distress. Perhaps the internal dilemma show somewhat, a slight sway as if it's happening physically and his gaze flicking away.]
What are you going to do?
no subject
[That smile dipped into something that might have been a grimace, before that little bubble of optimism caused it to brighten again. The memories that mixed and mingled, though confusing, were not going to make him think any differently of the person he'd become friends with. And the fact that Chikusa was able to notice such a small detail, meant there was some truth to whatever relationship they had here.
Which was good enough for Yamamoto, and why that look of concern flickered across his face when seeing the other sway in place.]
Ah - you okay? You sleeping well? [He shifted off the bat, head tilted like a confused puppy. Even if his own memories were proving to strain him, between the headaches and sudden flashbacks that made it where he'd be locked inside his head more than usual. He did a better job of not showing it by putting more emphasis on his smiles, however, and beyond the occasional scoldings he received from teachers, he'd been getting by.
And yet that question was enough for some of it to recede. His eyes looking more like the serious swordsman than that baseball nerd for a minuscule of a second, as he tired to figure out how to answer that.]
Do what I always do, of course. I don't think the others would be happy if I slacked off just because they weren't here.
no subject
[A simple and immediate answer, with no doubt behind it... But he doesn't explain further. He's been sleeping in his dorm room for a good few years now and, besides the occasional bouts of homesickness, he had thought he'd gotten over it. Didn't all the sessions with Counselor Katsuki help?]
[But now... It's as if he's simultaneously somewhere well known and in the middle of enemy territory. The part of him that's now Chikusa Kakimoto hate it, can't stop being on edge. Everything is too nice for a boy who'd had to sleep in abandoned buildings, finding safety and comfort only in his companions. And for there to be so many people...]
[It hasn't been easy.]
[But whether Cleto or Chikusa, he's used to sweeping his thoughts and feelings aside in pursuit of other things. Right now, it's that sharp gaze which has his attention.]
...Do you mean in baseball, or other things?
1
utsugi lenka: it does sound like a baseball player...
utsugi lenka: it looks like we all have to have code names of some kind
utsugi lenka: for some reason.
no subject
YamamotoTakeshi: I'm not sure where else I would have gotten the name from. I mean it had to have come from somewhere, since I typed it.
YamamotoTakeshi: But it might be this app's way of making sure we don't use our real names? Just to be safe.
no subject
[Either of that. After all, this is a highly suspicious app with a highly suspicious interface and origin. Unknown origin, at that.]
utsugi lenka: i don't know what kind of code name this would be.
utsugi lenka: or how safe this is...
utsugi lenka: i have a bad feeling about this.
[That could be just the headache, though.]
no subject
[He will forever trust that not everyone is a complete jerk, after all.]
YamamotoTakeshi: I don't feel like there's anything to worry about, though.
YamamotoTakeshi: And I like your code name! :) It looks cool.
no subject
[There's been all kinds of speculation about the app's origin, whether it's actually a virus or spam or anything else under the sun. It's hard to say whether they're in the midst of a plague of bots, too.]
utsugi lenka: maybe all we can do is wait.
utsugi lenka: but thanks.
utsugi lenka: i've had worse handles.
[This is as close as they're going to come to talking about what elementary or middle-school kids thought were cool handles. Shhh.]
