Round 1: Test Drive

Welcome to the first test drive!
Please don't worry too much about using your Personas correctly or following the prompts exactly. They're meant to give you starting ideas, but by all means, go wild and add more options!
The objective here is to try out characters and see who you could have the most fun with in the game's setting. However, feel free to follow this link to request a Persona be generated for you as if you were part of the game. (Please try to limit this to only one of your test drive characters if you can as to not overwhelm us! Never mind generating Personas is a pretty fast process! Request for as many characters away as you like!)
If you have questions about the test drive itself, you can ask them here! If you want to play an AU don't forget this entire post can be used for you to get AU scenarios set up and see who your character might have been related too or know before Awakening.
Now then, let's begin...

Prompt 1 - From Dawn to Dusk
The city has been abuzz for the past few weeks. A new string of murders is making front page news and serving as a grim reminder why the nightly curfew is so important. As families, perhaps even someone close to you, mourn, pressure continues to rise at the many police stations and at city hall. The people are afraid and they’re demanding answers.
There's not much time for you to dwell on this.. Like everyone else in the city, you have a lot to do, and a tight schedule to do it in. You don't even notice the application that has appeared on your phone's screen. The headache that follows, however, is strange and disorienting, and it brings with it an odd sensation that something is wrong today. You’re just not sure why.
The day passes by and soon, it's close to midnight. Your body, if you're not in bed by now, is completely exhausted. Despite your best efforts, you'll find yourself closing your eyes. Too bad it's quickly interrupted by a strange noise, and movement like something pulsating softly.
It's your phone, or at least you think it's your phone, but it's never glowed this orange before. There’s mist rising above it almost like fire...something's definitely bizarre about this. Despite your fears, you forces yourself to open it, and click on that strange snake-like icon.

It opens revealing a single statement and blank box;
Your fingers move on their own. Before you have time to really think about it, and as the pain inside your head becomes so terrible you start breathing rapidly and sweating, you've entered a series of letters and pressed enter. Now you're in a large chatroom with many others...but your 'name' you've never even heard of it...have you? It almost feels like you have...

Prompt 2 - Awakening
The last rays of the sun disappeared over the horizon almost an hour ago, yet here you are, walking through the apple orchards located behind one of the campus wings. The strange app that's been sending you strange clues the past seven days now says you're ready to face the truth. It told you to come here tonight, but never to travel alone. Repeatedly, it warns you to make sure to have someone close by if you're to survive…but besides some friends, what else did you bring with you? Did you pack for this, or did you figure you'd make it up as you go? Are you in a position to be able to bring weapons with you that no one would suspect?
Something is out there, and it's getting closer.
Before you can think, you see it: a large, blackish mass, almost like slime, slithering along the ground resembling a vaguely humanoid shape with glowing yellow eyes. When it roars again, it reveals rows and rows of teeth. This was a mistake your brain warns. The strange name from the chatroom, the days leading up to this...you're fairly certain even if you are prepared that you're going to die.
And yet, something inside you stirs. Even as they move closer, you find yourself charging instead of running, as your heartbeat increases. A voice inside is guiding you, each movement bringing forth a surge of memories of a past that you had lost. You’re angry and confused, but your pain, your fears, your rage for all of this… all of that needs to be taken out on those creatures.
All you need to do now is to tear out your heart.

Prompt 3 - A new, old life
Now that you have your memories back, the strange veil of this world has been somewhat lifted. Things that seemed simple now seem strange. You have so many questions, but not enough answers. Then there's the new weapons you wield and the strange creature inside of you...your Heart Persona.
During the day, you are encouraged to continue to live as you did before, but with old and new memories together, sometimes it is difficult to keep acting like you did. Will it cause issues in your job or school life? Will it change your reactions to whatever life you had here? Do you notice others like you who have awakened?
Maybe it would be a good time to send a chatroom message, just to ask others what they are planning to do. Maybe you should set up a meeting to fight shadows at night. Maybe you’ll organize a plan of attack or set up a club to escape the strange looks others have been giving you. Maybe you just want someone's opinion on the best place to have pizza. Hey, no one said you had to use the AppleNET just for serious things, after all.

Hotaru Tachibana | Aoharu x Machinegun
[Harper is sitting at her desk in the classroom, looking miserably at her phone. She knows she probably shouldn't have it out, but it's break time, so hopefully the teacher won't even notice. It probably isn't a big deal and she should be as worried about it as she is, but for some reason, what happened last night is still really bothering her.]
Hey...
[It should be okay to ask someone.]
You can't get in trouble for putting the wrong name into an app, right? That's not fraud, right?
[She's not going to get arrested, right?]
[Two]
[That name in the app...
It was hers after all...she is Hotaru Tachibana.
Tearing out her heart had been painful, terrifying, but now that she's on her feet again, she feels nothing but an exhilarating rush of power. Well, and one more thing.]
YOU THERE!
[She points at the monster, eyes alight with righteous fury.]
SUCH AN AWFUL CREATURE MUST BE CONDEMNED IN THE NAME OF JUSTICE!
[If you came here with her, you probably appreciate that it looks like she's decided to step up and take control of the situation, but at the same time she's yelling about justice to shambling dark masses while holding a submachine gun...]
[Three]
Does anyone know if it's against the Green Valley student dress code for girls to wear pants instead of skirts?
I wouldn't want to break any rules, but skirts are very inconvenient.
two; holy shit
Cagliostro kind of. Just stares at the submachine gun. She probably didn't come with Harper/Hotaru (no idea who this girl even is), but they just happen both be in the same place at the same time-- who says several groups of people can't all go ham at THE DARKNESS at once?!
Still. That machinegun.]
Give that thing to me.
[YEAH SHE'S NOT GOING TO FIGHT THE SHADOW, NUH-UH, GIVE HER THAT FUCKING MACHINE GUN, NEVERMIND THAT IT'S GETTING CLOSER AND CAGLIOSTRO ALREADY HAS A SNAKE THING TO FIGHT WITH]
no subject
Huh? What?
[Her gun??]
No! This is mine!
[She holds the gun protectively to her chest. It seems like, for the moment, she's completely forgotten that death is oozing towards them.]
no subject
[cagliostro is literally 4 feet tall
In any case-- Cagliostro runs over to try to wrench the gun away. Because, yes, you do that. TO A MACHINE GUN. Still-- at least she's got enough self-awareness to use her Persona.] Oi! Ouroboros! Go beat the shit out of that slime thing!
[Her Persona obeys by Garu-ing the living fuck out of whatever is approaching them. Actually, that's a lot of wind... wait, hold on, is friendly fire a thing? Both machine gun and magical spell-wise?]
no subject
Leraje! Tachibana is relying upon you to strike that creature down!
[She sounds a little like a refugee from a period drama, but it just sounds right to her ears. Just like using her last name in place of a personal pronoun sounds right. Well, to her. Not to anyone else, probably.
But that aside... She'll let her Persona rain down arrows of death upon her foes. She has something else to take care of.]
You can't have Goemon-san! Children shouldn't be touching guns! Tachibana is [Sixteen and technically not old enough to own a real gun, but it hasn't occurred to her yet that this isn't her airsoft gun.] trained in using one!
no subject
Children?! I'm the great Cagliostro! One of the Founding Fathers of Alchemy, the--
[A slime monster ambushes Cagliostro from the side, knocking her down and sending her Persona into a dizzy panic. Well, Hotaru, now's the time to shine! Fire away!]

Hell, yeah, that's a gun! ]
Marchosias! [ That's not the right name, and he has no idea why he knows it, but who cares, there's enemy Stands to attack ]
Get him!
[ The winged wolf darts in from the side, and even as Okuyasu winces in phantom pain, the wolf tears into the creatures ahead of them ]
no subject
But that was Tachibana's foe!
[She was actually going to win this time and someone else showed up and ruined it! She should be grateful for the assist, but she can't help but be really, really disappointed.]
no subject
[ It's not like the weird maybe-Stand was killed by one biting attack from his weird wolf Stand. ]
Keep attacking it!
[ Not that he's sure why they're attacking it, but it's probably for a good reason. ]
no subject
She doesn't, however, call upon her Persona. Instead, she raises the gun she's carrying and unleashes a spray of bullets on the monster. None of which hit. They do, however rip the hell out of the bark on the surrounding trees.]
Those are real bullets!!
[They aren't supposed to be real bullets!!]
no subject
Why did you bring a gun if you don't know how to use it?
[ If any of those bullets had hit his Stand- ]

After that, there was no hiding that they were both in this together. She might be the first to her feet - Kidou's reeling from the memories that slam into him. Pain he'd forgotten. Tragedies he'd almost failed to stop. All of these things hit him as if they all happened just then, all feeding the righteous anger underneath that just isn't him. He's trembling on the ground behind her, trying to get himself back under control out of a deep instinctual need to seek calm.
It's the call to justice that finally gets Kidou back to his feet. He doesn't act right away. He says nothing right away. He just keeps his foot on a soccer ball beneath him and watches this with eyes now covered with goggles.
Is that really justice? he asks himself, still failing to say a single word out loud. If it's killing people... if it's the cause of the murders, he reasons...
Then maybe it is...]

Tachibana hit it! The bullets actually hit! They hit!!
[She sounds absolutely beside herself with excitement. But totally distracted from the shambling mass of darkness scrambling closer.]
no subject
Kidou's voice raises into an authoritative shout-]
Sukunda!
[Does he need to yell it? He's not sure, probably not, but that serves a dual purpose. It's both halving the speed of that thing before it reaches her, buying them both time, and trying to get her attention back to the fight.
... of course, he follows that up anyway, because he's not hinging this on if she can follow hints. This time, though, he doesn't use his voice at all to project words straight to her head.]
Shoot it more! It's still up!
[... is it really him saying that? He can't believe he just did.]
no subject
And then she starts laughing.]
Take that, monster! This is the condemnation you have brought upon yourself!
Two idk hello
[How is he going to pass it on if he doesn't even have her name? Details. They're just two strangers in the orchards facing a weird situation. Well, "straight up horrifying" might be more appropriate, but Midori hardly sees the reason to get all worked up.
He's also sharing the apparently common wanting to rip out one's own heart feeling, but for now he's contented to let his companion take that path.
Because he's lazy. It's the most efficient thing to do. So he makes certain to stand out of her way.]ffff oh no midori
MIDOR-- AAAGH!
[She doesn't even get his name out before the Shadow shambles closer and tries to make a grab at her ankle. Without even a thought, she lifts her gun and opens fire. Even at this close range, she only manages to hit it a few times, but it's enough to force it back a little so she can scramble backwards and regroup.
Why is Midori here? Why is he here and NOT SHOOTING THAT THING?
Well, maybe that second one shouldn't be too surprising, but...]
Are you just going to stand there?!
one;

no subject
maybe?
no subject
You'd think it would be the other way around, wouldn't you?
Two
Where the hell did you get that?
no subject
[He could mean the gun or, you know, the ghost(??) that materialized when she ripped out her heart and she takes a second to look back and forth between the two, the fevered light in her eyes fading slightly.]
Tachibana has no idea!
[And this is in no way helping with the shambling mass of horror oozing towards them.]
no subject
[ He turns his attention back to the monster because he'd rather think about that than any of the memories that are swirling inside his head. Memories that could easily reduce him to a shrieking ball of fear on the ground. But the need to fight, to wreak carnage on whatever's in front of him is also strong enough to keep him on his feet. ]
no subject
There's a monster and we have to strike it down! Isn't that obvious?
[It all seems pretty simple to her. Monsters = bad. Bad = something to fight against. The connection that this is all real hasn't quite been made yet, probably due to the shock of Awakening.
So she just opens fire without a second thought. It's not until the bullets start hitting things around them and actually causing damage that she reacts in confusion.
Things around them and not the Shadow, though. Because knowing how to use a gun doesn't necessarily mean being able to hit what you're aiming at.]
What -- Real bullets?!!
